So was anyone trying to make the Leprechaun Run next weekend, Sunday the 25th in KY?

I am but I may need to find a copilot. Kris will go if her mom can watch Will. So far the weather looks OK, sunny and mid 60s but it will change 10 fold by then.

Is a copilot required or highly suggested? If so, that could put me out.

Well... its a scavenger hunt... not required but HIGHLY suggested. Way too hard to hunt and drive. The drive is fun but its pretty pointless alone... One guy did it alone last year and he didnt even bother with the questions. He just drove around with us.

I am stummped on a copilot. Anyone I can think of that would be interested in the event has nice cars and would want to drive... I am hoping Kris goes.

2010 Camaro SS modified extensively. I stretched the body to make it a 4 door, but I swapped in the 3.6L DI V6 for fuel economy. Then I picked up a corvette body around the V8. I also swapped the body for a C2 Z28. (In short I traded it for three cars, a Corvette Z06r, a C2 Camaro Z28, and a Cadillac CTS Summer Performance package 3.6L DI with Aisin 6spd.)

That sounds like a lot of fun actually! Too bad I've already got something going on. Good luck on getting Kris to be able to go with & have fun.
I want to hear all about it!

Here is some interesting "light" reading for you race/engine/technical guys and gals. It's a comparison of NASCAR/F1 engines.

Next purchase will be solid motor mounts. Waiting on someone besides Pfadt to make a cost effective one. $300+ is silly.

Meant to post this the other day. This is the explanation from Pedders on why they don't recommend the strut bar...FWIW

The slight flex in the front towers is a good thing for turning corners. It creates a slight increase in negative camber under cornering loads. The ZL1 MRC computer controlled dampers benefit from the strut tower bar when the computer program adjusts resistance to compensate for the lack of flex in the front end. That said, many of the race TEAMs that run the 5th Gen have dropped the strut tower bar to .... improve cornering!

Ah, what do they know?

Doesn't that Pedders guy know he is supposed to feed our mod addiction?

I was initially planning on going, and arranged for my best friend to co-pilot for me. But I don't think I'm going to make it after all. Trying to squeeze in a few more Sunday shifts at Victoria's Secret for the headers fund.

I asked Pedder's Pete about stut tower bars a few months ago and he told me the same. I decided not to get one for that reason. They do look cool though.

He may not want to sell you a strut tower bar, but he'd love to sell you some coilovers and sway bars, etc.

You can read Pete and Pfadt argue till they are blue in the face about the STB.

I think it tightens up the front end and I've been loving it!
