Oh I know, I wasn't mad at you, just them.
And yeah, I miss Lou Malnati'! Hell, I'll go there this weekend for my deep dish!

Gotham?
It was I who posted and arranged the open house for Hoskins Chevrolet.
I am not an employee of the dealership, just a custumer and enthusiest.
I presented your accusation of selling over MSRP to the dealer owner and the sales manager.
Both were SHOCKED as this dealer has NEVER sold over window since its opening in 1945.
So, they are requesting if you can remember the name of whomever you spoke to, or if thats not possible, can you remember maybe what the salesperson looked like, or his age.
Frankly the owner, Lee Hoskins was rather p....d and hopes you can provide some information.

For the other readers, I am clarifying on the dealers behaf.
Hoskins Chevrolet Will Not Add any B/S market adjustments or any other fancy term on top of the MSRP.

Looking forward to your response,
Rob

PS,
Thanks! to those who came by. The dealer was really pleased at the turnout and the excitement the car created.
The red display car was sold Thursday evening (At MSRP)

Thank you Rob for posting the info on this event, otherwise I would not have known about it.

By the way I was the guy with the black/yellow corvette "Jake Skull" hat and the Indy '08 Camaro shirt taking all the pictures, obviously! Were you in any of those shots?

Hey Scott,
Yep, ya got me!
I,m standing on the drivers side of the 2010 and it looks like I,m pointing at YOU.
But for the life of me, I don't remember seeing anybody getting my old arsh in a photo....LOL!
I really pleased everyone got a kick out of the event!
The blue 2010 was the dealers District Sales Reps car for the evening.
He was stopping by two dealers that were having a formal reveal evening specifically to let people road test that car.
He actually hung in there an additional 1/2 hour because of the excitement that created!
Thanks for coming out!

Rob
PS,
That was my B4C in the showroom.

Nice B4C! How many miles are on it?
By the way, what color do you think the blue car was, IBM or ABM?

I think you were the guy that said I should take another picture of the front because I would not be able to get the Halo lights on with the flash. LOL Thanks for turning them on!

Scott,
My B4C only has 5100 miles on it.
The dealer was able to get me authorization back in 02 to order the car.
It is the only red B4C ordered/recieved by a non fleet order and there are no others with the option combination this car possesses.
You are correct, that was me suggesting you take another photo without flash to be certain the halos would show.
Glad to help!

Regarding the blue car.....I'm not familiar with the color name, but is was the lighter of the two blues.

I was always wondering if an employee or someone buying from Hoskins would post at Camaro5. My Accusation?? Like I'm making this up?? What gain would I have from slandering a dealership from my hometown? They were MY FIRST choice, so I was more shocked then they were.

Not yelling at you, as you're the messenger but I never said they were selling over MSRP on all their cars, this was specific to the 5th Gen Camaro. My dad was buying from then since 84 and I thought to keep it in the family.

I'll go look to see if I have any emails from him and give them a name and what-not. I understand sometimes there is a bad apple in a barrel but it made me mad and of course I went North to pre-order.

Bravo that they aren't doing the B.S. over MSRP, now I can tell my dad it was just a bad sales guy not the dealership.

Gotham,
I think they were more concerned that someone within said that to you, not that you made it up.
I got the impression they took your experience VERY seriously and really would like to get to the bottom of it ASAP.
Thanks for responding and I will forward this to the dealer as well.

Thumbs up

Awesome pics. THANKS!!!
Too bad the 2010 didn't have the black stripes to match the 1970 Camaro. That would have been BAD!!!
Still nice, none the less.

It's funny, when I rolled into the parking lot one of the salesmen came out with his camera and asked if he could take a picture of the 2 together and I said not a problem, I was doing the same thing. He then went on to tell me that all morning the other sales guys were battling back and forth on whether or not they were going to install the black rally stripes before they sell it!
