I would sooner have radio delete and get rid of the extra weight, wires and crap that goes along with it.

I guarantee the touch screen will be on the '13 ZL1's. The ZL1 is the highest Camaro model. There's no way GM will offer the touch screen in the 1LE and not the ZL1. My guess is it will be an option on the 2LT and 2SS too.

Don't look for a touch-screen to make it into '12 MY cars.

It does kinda suck knowing a couple of months apart the 13's will get this NAV standard........

Makes me want to go hmmmmmmmmmmmm!

We really don't know when the 1LE would be for sale.... could be a late release like the ZL1 is now. If that is the case then maybe all of the quirks would not be worked out when the 2013 ZL1 would be released....... Just a thought.

Just to be clear, the 7-inch touchscreen display does not = navigation. In fact Chevy MyLink doesn't support navigation (at this time).

I very much doubt this will be standard fare....we don't know for sure...but that's a very expensive option to force on people - I would be surprised.

If the touch screen makes it to the rest of the Camaro lineup then it probably will be standard on LT/SS. That's how it works on the rest of the Chevrolets, LS models have to do without, LT/LTZ models have it standard.

Fair point. I still think I'd be surprised, though....

Standard on 2LT, 2SS, I could see...

I would personally wait knowing if 13's were going to get it or not.. Same deal happened on 11 models with HUD............

As cost for GM on new NAV vs current, at most a couple hundred difference.

For what it's worth, it may be WAY easier to pair the apps such as Map Quest and other GPS navigation apps on a phone to the 7" screen. This way GM doesn't have to make a native navigation app. The user will decide which to use. I see this as the most intelligent and customer centric path than a native navigation app that becomes obsolete in two years or monthly expenses (when some nav apps are free).

I'm very upset at this. Those of us that have ZL1's built will not have the option to get the touch screen. They are keeping the cars in QC anyways. They might as well contact the dealers to ask if the customers want this touch screen installed. What's an extra couple of weeks. If I get my 60k Camaro ZL1 and two months later one comes out with better options I will be extremely upset at Chevy. I don't understand why not make this screen a 2012 Zl1 option. This is very disappointing to me.

It.... Doesn't.... Support.... Navigation.... At the time of purchase?

Who's the dumbf*** that thought that one up, don't release something to the public unless it is ready.... They really pulled a Ford on this, though it's likely the screen freezing won't cause your car to stop responding to climate control commands.....
