It really is weird. I have found that I get more 'hate' from 4th Gen Camaro drivers than Mustang drivers.

Was moving fast in my ol' Cutlass one evening, doing about 100 MPH. The country road I was on had a slight rise to it, and I tried to make a regular habit of catching some air on it. Sounds a lot scarier than it really was, as it was a long, gentle hill, and the angle of the road made it a pretty gentle liftoff, and a gentle landing. Anyway, an oncoming car started flashing his brights at me. Naturally, I hit my high beams to teach that guy a little lesson...

As we passed each other though, my young wheels started turning, and I thought, "There's no way that guy REALLY thought I had my brights on to start with... I wonder if he was trying to warn me of something?" As this thought materialized, I hit the brakes, and hit them hard.

Damn good thing, too... came over the rise, to find a cow sleeping in the road directly in my path. Since I had already dropped down to about about 50 MPH, I was able to avoid making beef.

Sure, the other car maybe coulda signalled me differently (I prefer to turn my lights on and off to signal others of a hazard)... but it was his split- second reaction. I owe that guy... maybe even my life.
This thread is hilarious..........I think I've used most every technique here at one time or another.........just depends...........

I get more respect from mustang drivers out there than I do from fellow Camaro drivers, usually the Mustang driver is the first to wave, but I found that they will also usually wave back when I wave first.....have a hard time getting Camaro drivers to do the same

Ricers...I point and laugh.

When I see a Camaro (any type) or Corvette, I'll give a thumbs up...out the window if it's already open.

lets not even open the can of worms entitled "V6 vs V8"...

For me, every camaro gets the second glance or the "half wave/peace sign" out the window...

now if they do it back, is another thing...

I might be a redneck and not gangsta but I know about chunkin' Dueces haha.

If you're chunking 2's it is usually showing the back of your hand. If you're throwing the peace sign (2 fingers up showing palm of hand) you're a dirty hippie haha

It's funny you brought that up, I really never take notice wether it is a V6 or V8, when I see another Camaro I am still blown away by the looks of the car to stop and think"Hmmmm was that a 6 or an 8?" it is usually my wife who points things like that out to me, and she is like me when it comes to not really liking that mail slot on the V8s, if we had a V8 we would be looking to be changing out the front fascia for something without the slot

LOL It's the first thing I look for when I see a Camaro, if I can't see the badging. That's funny.

BTW, I forgot to mention...all IBM always get a thumbs up!

Seems you have a yellow fixation. I wave to cool cars. Usually camaros though. No rice with my order.

Any nice rides from the 70's and older might get a nod.

Not much waving I've noticed in the big cities around here.

Waving is a small town thing and in the town I went to school in (K-12 in the same building) everybody waved at everybody.
