Traction control or not, my standard conclusion for every single car accident is that it was caused by a loose nut behind the wheel!!..lol

It's also cause and affect , push the gas pedal down all the way tires blow off ! Push it a little less tires work great ! Or you can call it driving IQ ! If you need help driving a car, buy a slower car.

Im trying to figure out why everyone in this thread keeps reverting to the T/C Stabilitrak being turned off when :
1. No one in this thread even knows what caused the accident or how it occured 2. Not even the OP knows how the accident happened Shows how much people pay attention to detail as opposed to throwing two cents in where they can. |

I often take Stabilitrak off outside on country roads. Never had any problems, I'm very careful and make sure I know the road, conditions and make sure that there isn't traffic around. Sure I could get into an accident, but it could happen just as easy with them on. These people that crash often drive above there limits in places they SHOULDN'T! I know my limits, and If I ever want to test them, it will damn sure be on a track, and even then I wouldn't because I'm to afraid to scratch my car.

It was obviously the navigation system, as the car was backwards. I blame OnStar.
![]() Seriously, just drive careful enough to protect yourself and others, folks. Jason

Uh ! No ! You can thank the tree huggers & the Feds for killing the muscle car era back in the day. It just took a while for technology to help us get it back. But I can promise you they will shut it down again if we let them.

Turned it off on my C6. Turned it off on my RX-8 Turned it off on my C5. Thankfully I don't have to turn it off on the IROC... Not like it would matter. ![]() Notice a trend here? it's about respect for the car and knowing what it's going to do and when. I guess with age comes wisdom. Don't expect a computer to save your ass. Know how to save your own. EDIT.... That's not right... Have enough respect for the car NOT TO NEED TO save your ass or have it saved. And the car DEFINITELY runs better with it off! Just sent... don't want to offend anyone. |
