V6 vs V8 has more comfortable ride?

I have test driven both models but it has been awhile so I thought I would ask... which model the lt or ss has a nicer ride to it meaning more comfortable? or are they about the same?

The ride is smoother in the V6 due to the suspension and usually smaller wheels. Especially at low speeds. My SS has a much smoother ride after say 20MPH.

Both are gonna be comfy, but it is still a sports car no matter what. If the money is right go buy the V8.. I actually sold my SS last night and kept the V6.. bought a truck in its place.

You mean u had 2? wow thats cool.
Plus I dont think I have enough money to get a SS(college kid) and the fact that there are the rumors about the new engine making it faster.

What about with the 20" RS wheels bc when i test drove one it was a lt1 with the the wheels that are one up from the ls steel wheels?

I've driven up and down the east coast a few times in my SS and it was super comfortable. My passenger raved about how nice the ride was and enjoyed their nap.

I have one of each, and the Lt has a softer ride than the SS ...

Sure that is a factor. Bigger rims with low profile tires will always have a rougher ride than say the LS with standard type wheels. But the main factor is the SS suspension is different than the V6. The V6 will definately have a smoother ride overall. Personally i love the SS ride. I like to feel the road and all the little bumps. It does really smooth out at higher speeds though as i mentioned.

yeah I know what you mean... my car has a stiff suspension to me and I remember when I test drove the v6 i couldnt get over how nice it rode and how quiet it was inside the cabin.

Whatever you do, wait for the 2012 unless you have to buy a bargin priced 2011 for whatever reason.....or if anything, just wait until Chevy releases details on the 2012...just my opinion!

I agree. I have been tossing around the idea of trading in for an SS but if I do it I will definitely wait for the 2012. I want to see this redesigned interior and rear camera!
