Install Help for Active 3-Way Front Stage - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

I am designing a system for my 2010 Camaro. I need help with the front stage. I would like to go with a 3 way set up, but the install is going to be difficult. I was hoping someone here has done a custom install or something competition oriented. I am going for as OEM a look as possible. I could care less about SPL, only SQ. I have decided on the following components:

Head Unit:Kenwood DNX-6990HD

DSP: Arc Audio PS8 - Releasing End of April

Subwoofer Set up: Arc Audio KS1200.1 (1200w RMS at 2 ohms) to drive 2 Arc Audio 10" Black Series Subs

Subs will be mounted in a front firing sealed enclosure. Amp rack will be built on the back of the sub-enclosure.

I will eliminate the rear fill.

Front Stage: Amps will depend on final drivers, but will still be Arc Audio. I will power each driver on it's own amp channel, about 100-250 watts per. I am considering Hybrid Audio Clarus Line or components from their Legatia line. I was hoping to use a tweeter, 3-4" dedicated midrange, and a 7-8" midwoofer. I'm not sure if an 8" is possible. I may have to use the stock location for the midwoofer.

I was hoping someone like Q-logic had kick panels for sale, but so far no luck. I think mounting the tweeter and small mid in either a kick panel or dash mounted pod would sound the best. Has anyone here done something similar or can point me to an installer that has? I am hoping I can find a good shop that has already done this. Hopefully, that will save me a lot of time and money.

Should sound good! And yes, a three way IS possible, even with the 8.

Can the shop supplying the Arc not help you with this/perform the installation?

Their Black series sounds good, too; sat in Fred's car for several minutes at the end of SBN. Speaking of which, who will tune the PS8 for you?
