To CosmicDebris and CamaroShark:

I am glad you are happy with your setup. I just want to warn you, that "grill" may look aggressive, but it is absolutely nonfunctional. I am not trying to be a dick. I have been involved in competitive audio for over 25 years. The only function of a grill is to protect the cone of a driver. Look at the factory grills. Notice the very small perforations. This will not allow anything to hit the driver. Unless you never intend to put anything in your trunk again, it is only a matter of time before you take a sharp turn and something punctures your sub. If you go to any audio website you can find a protective grill that will be functional.

Sounds nice and powerful but this was probably a little bit of overkill for what I needed. I just wanted to add a little kick to my country although my wife likes to shake the windows I don't know a lot of about adjusting settings on a sub but hopefully I'll be able to dial this thing in to give the sound I want. I have a couple of rattles in the car I'll have to address but I'm happy with the quality of this system. I can't believe it all fit into the trunk as nicely as it did. I'm definitively glad I didn't wast my time on a two sub box as I cannot imagine ever needed more bass that this.

It'll be cleaner if you flip the amp around the other way.

Tuck the RCA plug wire underneath the side of the amp and then screw the amp down.

Then your power wires will be at the top and you can tuck those behind the box or up the side of it and all the wires will be hidden... quite well... The only wires you see on mine are at the very very top (power and ground) and only then if you bend down and look for them almost sticking your head in the trunk.

Yeah I flipped the amp and tucked everything away nice and clean.

Just need to figure out how to get rattle out of the shelf the 6X9's are housed in.

Yes, all you need is an input signal for the amp. We can remove the x3 harness from the pkg and supply you with a loc instead at a reduced cost.

Are there any more recommended settings on the amp for getting a nice quick bass hit in my music without overpowering the song. Do I focus on gain, freq Etc,

I set the amp gain at about the 1/3 mark and the crossover around 60.

Head unit at 2, 0, 0 on the gains.

Additional knob (exterior) I ran into the cabin, by my left leg under drivers side dash underside on the edge.

It's usually set somewhere around 11 o.clock position. That enough bass for most music.

I just bought a Kicker CVR for mine. Does it sound pretty good? Is the quality smooth? Does your trunk rattle much? <--A lot of questions.. Haha.

I got the ******** plug and play hardness and new Alpine amp and subs installed. However, I think I need a sound depressure. I hear distortion when driving (from the alternator??). Any ideas how to suppress the sound when not cranking the tunes? Should I lower the gain?

Sounds great. Just enough bump for me, it's smooth, and yes there's some rattle around the trunk, rear deck and my rear view mirror.

Very nice. I was thinking about doing the DynoBlast (I think that's what it's called) to my trunk, just to reduce the rattle. I am waiting on my amp to come in, hopefully today or tomorrow, then I can get to work. That's a nice box btw. PROPS.

The black ground cable i have seems way to short to connect to the same ground as the battery, do you ground somewhere else?

Use a portion of the power cable instead. Be sure to mark it on both ends so you know it is the ground.
