Love the Mustang, but don't have time or desire to learn every nut and bolt. Same with the Charger and Challenger.
Damn... you two NAILED IT...

I read through the entire thread. There are some people over there that have good points, a lot of rage issues though as someone else pointed out.

I'm a Chevy fan, but as long as people are buying American and not rice-burners, I could care less.

It was a good discussion they had over there on their site. I wouldn't have saw it any different in their eyes. It's a Mustang forum, what would you expect? They have no regard for Camaro, and that's how it is. Same here, we have little or no regard for Mustangs.

When cornered, though, I do say that most Mustang afficiandos whip out the "bail out" card when they run out of any real ammunition. Racist bastards.

As pointed out before...who really gives a s**t? The Honey Badger don't give a s**t, so why should we?

gotcha..its a Chevy owned site, Camaro rules here, its a 1 way street. FWIW, this is the ONLY car site that operates this way. What use is the "General Automotive Discussion, Other Car Discussion boards", why even have it if people can't speak the truth?

Come on, now, you get plenty of respect here; not everyone spits venom and haterade at you. But you know this is a GM site. Look at the Ford forums and the hatred they spew at anyone on there who isn't a blue oval-touting fanboy. I've been a victim of this firsthand, so you can't say it doesn't happen there.

Truth is subjective and generally in the eyes of the beholder (just as beauty is in the eye of the beerholder ), and I have NO beef with you; I respect you for coming over here and giving us Ford insight and someone to banter with. But get off the cross; every forum that centers around one brand is biased toward that brand.

I have asked that very question in the past along with the vs. sub-forum. BTW - did you know that all 2011+ 5.0 bolt-on cars run 12.2-12.6?

And to you I give the same answer as Dragoneye, and what I posted above.

Why in the world should anyone compare a 55k, 5 seat, 3800 pony car to a 115k, 2 seat, 3200 pound sports car??????

Think of it as a divided highway.

Answers in blue.

Talk cars all day long in the general auto thread, that's what it's there for. You'll find a great many cars talked about here. But when one particular camp tries to hard to make a point....just bear in mind that it's a general auto section on a Camaro site. The bias will almost always be in the Camaros favor, naturally - and that should not upset anyone. If it does - it's possible you're in the wrong place.

What sucks about internet forums is the lack of tone. I wasn't offended at all by anyone. I always take the bantering here the same way I banter with fellow car fans at actual car shows and meets. I hated the Mustangs just as much as some of you hate it now. But I realized the hobby is so much more fun with open eyes.
The GT500 in my sig in my first Mustang ever! I had five 3rd Gen Camaros, and waited most hopeful for the Camaro's return and when it did, I paid ADM to get one in 2009. The ZL1 will be my next car. I guess I just don't understand why people can talk smack about someone else's car but when the other car's owner says something corrective or factual, that is bad and targeted for deletion or ban. A lot of the Mustang replies from Mustang owners here, including me, have been to "correct" what is being said about our "other" car. Again, this section says "General Automotive-Other Car Discussions"-come talk about other cars.
Anyway, respect to all, that I have. Cars are just stupid cars.

I agree; it's one big pissing match... but then again it's been that way for damn near 100 years, hasn't it? The best predictor of future behavior is past behavior We hate to see our brand trashed, whether it's true or not; Ford guys are the same way.

I'm a die-hard GM girl and I'll be first to admit it. It's a family thing to me; a tradition. My grandpa taught me to drive in an '85 Chevy truck, and my family has bought our GM vehicles from the same dealership since 1932. That being said, I respect what the Mustang does, and I'm not gonna lie, the midnight blue metallic new ones are beautiful. I love getting a challenge from a Mustang owner, and even though I may like my brand better for various and sundry reasons, it doesn't mean I don't respect them. Were it not for each other, neither would exist in present form. Muscle is muscle; one love, right? It's too bad people get so butthurt on the internet... but it's entertaining

Last car show I went to was hosted by the local Mustang club. They parked me up front with another Camaro so their club members could look them over. It was me, in a LT, and an SS owner (Synergy Green). I had a ball and after got a neat ride in a GT500 as well as a (very tuned) V6 Mustang.

Friends for life, we were all wrong about each other's cars and facepalmed several times at each other. I will agree about the tone of typed words. You can't see a joyful banter. No...... well it just means no. Not a grin with it or a giggle, nothing. It's up to interpretation.

And FF, I'm still waiting for someone to offer up "pinks" so you go out and buy one, lmao!

shhhhh I hope hoping people forget about that. She who writes the check says a ZL1 and nothing else for me for awhile. :( My interpretation of "awhile" is never the same as hers. I tell you, it is so difficult not to order a ZL1 right now, especially seeing all the awesome photos from new owners.
