We have but you and I realize we can disagree and debate and it stays within the framework of the discussion at hand.

THe times I called people was when they wanted to get personal. People need to realize sometimes that we are actual real people on here. And if you post your number in your sig and then say stupid shit you just might get a phone call. haha

Definitely. It's a lot tougher on the forums than sitting in the foldaway chairs in the evening at a car meet, kicking back a few adult drinks and "bench jousting" with the "other" brand owners poking fun at each other's loyalty without harm.

It's like a sports team to me though - I'm not likely to run out and buy a Mustang because there's nothing that "stirs" me as much about a Mustang as compared to Camaro, even though it's the same "game" as it were. I can't put my finger on it, but that's just how it's always been. Some are fair-weather or bandwagon fans, whatever's new....and then there are the dedicated die-hards that tattoo brands on themselves even! And there are others in between.

Now if I had $60,000 I would get a shelby for a daily driver and my camaro for track.

The Cobra was never built to compete with any model vette. This all started with the 2003 Cobra when there were no F-Bodies so all GM fans could compare it with was a vette.

If I were a big Camaro fan I would buy a base V8 Camaro, pull the engine and bore it .03 over, swap in some 8.5:1 pistons, H-Beam forged rods, 72 pound injectors and put a 3.6 Kenne Bell and a BAP on it with 18-20 pounds of boost and really have a car that is reliable.

I was going to buy a V6 and build my own Shelby but when a dealer offered me a 2010 GT500 just after they took it off their showroom floor for $6k off sticker I could not refuse. There was no way I could buy a V6 and build a GT500 for the money I paid for my GT500. I am swapping out my 2.8 Kenne Bell so I will be pusing what my stock rods can handle. If I blow it I will buy a built bottom end short block and them put a lot of boost thru it.

Nice, I understand how people like myself compare these cars, each is in their own class
