Apples and oranges. It's not the Mustang's axle that allows it to compete with the Camaro on a road course. At best, people can say the SRA is no longer as big a detriment as it used to be, or inversely, the Mustang has enough other cool stuff (weight, power-to-weight ratio, stiffer body, etc...)to overcome any SRA issues on a road course.

Camaro owners are aware that the Mustang does reasonably well on a road course. Most of us think it has issues on uneven surfaces, much more so than a Camaro, because of the SRA.

Also, personally I'm tired of Mustang guys requiring our applause everytime Ford does something. It's also dick-ish to label C5 posters and the site when you don't get what you consider the appropriate level of attention.

The GT500 in my sig in my first Mustang ever! I had five 3rd Gen Camaros, and waited most hopeful for the Camaro's return and when it did, I paid ADM to get one in 2009. The ZL1 will be my next car. I guess I just don't understand why people can talk smack about someone else's car but when the other car's owner says something corrective or factual, that is bad and targeted for deletion or ban. A lot of the Mustang replies from Mustang owners here, including me, have been to "correct" what is being said about our "other" car. Again, this section says "General Automotive-Other Car Discussions"-come talk about other cars.
Anyway, respect to all, that I have. Cars are just stupid cars.

I'm a die-hard GM girl and I'll be first to admit it. It's a family thing to me; a tradition. My grandpa taught me to drive in an '85 Chevy truck, and my family has bought our GM vehicles from the same dealership since 1932. That being said, I respect what the Mustang does, and I'm not gonna lie, the midnight blue metallic new ones are beautiful. I love getting a challenge from a Mustang owner, and even though I may like my brand better for various and sundry reasons, it doesn't mean I don't respect them. Were it not for each other, neither would exist in present form. Muscle is muscle; one love, right? It's too bad people get so butthurt on the internet... but it's entertaining
No offense meant by my comments. Besides, FF - you know I don't have any problems with you.

Agreed on the internet tone thing. I'm a firm believer that if this was an in-person affair...75% of the arguments that are had wouldn't exist...

Anyone that has a respect for and owns an AC Cobra, replica or not. Need not to apologize for anything.

All car designs are a give and take between cost, aspects of performance, government standards, customer demands, and design limitations. Each car company comes at these criteria from a different direction. The end result are vehicles that are very close in performance, but wildly different in how they got there. This is where the enthusiasts get to draw the battlelines, and rage against the utter absurdity of how company "X" engineered a solution. I have seen numerous engineering designs to solve a problem, and appreciate the differences that all the car companies make. Assuming one company has all the right answers is absurd, every problem has more than one answer.

But Mustangs are built by GOD, and have no flaws.

Except that dam antenna. They need how to figure out how to get rid of that. Functional? Yes. Antiquated? Absolutely! See? God has a sense of humor as well.
