So how many of you guys that are PMing for a price have the Vararam? lol.

I think I'm going to wait to hear people's impressions before I take the plunge.

As far as feel...I don't think anyone should be expecting noticeable power increases. I'd expect it to be sort of like the ported TB...making the car feel more responsive and crisp...maybe a bit more get up and go feeling. Not snap your head/pressure on your chest type feeling. Jay...am I right on that assesment?

Jay said it comes with spacers that are used to fill the gap. I'm guessing you'd want to apply a tad of RTV to each spacer.

VR here. Me and the car have a couple more trips to the track this fall and every little bit seems to help so far. Then the car is retired from racing. lol

Awesome...is that 13.4 something you pulled off this year or last? Thats impressive....I'd go nuts over a run that good if I did it lol. Was that on the corn juice? I guess I need to check out the V6 1/4 mile thread.

Yes, this past Dec, 13.453

I did 5 runs that day and averaged 13.50 flat.

Would've been 13.4 something but HDRS had me launch from idle one time and pulled the worst 60' out of the 5.

Perhaps if lucky, I can touch 13.3 something. Then the car needs a rest. lol

Car ran with Sunoco 93 from the pump.

OK, I did miss that - the very first sentence of his post, duh... Anyway, then, does that part (whatever it is) stay and the four 12mm adapters added on top of it before the plenum cover is bolted down? Or is that part discarded and the adapters are used to fill the gap? BTW - does anyone know the function of that part?

I think more tech specs with the various insulators from the VR Ice-olater to all 3 sizes of maces and what does omitting that Plenum Sealer do. I also think the appropiate hardeware acording to your set up should be supplied by the vendor for that price. I also whant to keep my cover on so that is something I might have to deal with.A 3D Cad or Solid works illustration would be nice. Just my opinion. If I buy a produduc it should come with all the appropiate hardeware for a bolt on appplication.

im sure it would be the same as installing the insulator. you would use RTV on one side of the spacer and the OEM gasket on the other. easy day IMO.

I'm not sure it the benefit will be very great for a FI engine, but I would love to hear what you have to say. PM a price, too.

Ok there has been a fair amount of activity in this thread and via PM’s so want to try and clear things as much as possible. It’s very likely that I’ll have missed a question/statement, if so, please remind

I’ve also given the bolt thing some though and have now decided to have dedicated bolt packs for customers with specific insulators, to make life easier for everyone

For people who have our 25mm manifold (MI624), they’ll need to order MI624. For people who have a 3/8” they’ll need to order MI626

I’m hoping to get detailed assembly drawings (inc. bill of materials) for these packs over the next few days, needless to say they will come with all of the components needed for the job

When installing this product I have a personal preference to discard all of the factory gaskets and replace these with our plenum spacer, spacer bushes and silicone.

If you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask.

Kindest Regards,
Steve

Here is an example of another company employing the same (but more elaborate) principle on a boosted engine

http://www.airpowersystems.com/350z/plenum/plenum.htm

Admitted there are also a number of companies that sell plenum spacers for the VQ35 engine (ourselves included) rather then replacing the plenum which is $$$

Will shoot you a PM shortly
