Nitrous & CAI Installed

Got all the loose ends tied up last night and got to spray in the gears 1-3. CAI had went on over weekend.
Nitrous Outlet progressive system installed and using an LNC2000 to pull timing. Dave from N.O. was A+++ with providing info over the phone and through pm's.
Spent more time than it may look. I wanted a clean install without drilling any holes. The hose and all the wiring fit through the factory hole on the driver's side above the battery cable. I ran wiring in existing wire looms as much as possibe. Made a false floor in the trunk, securing it with home made toggle bolts.

Very clean!

What can you tell me about the progressive system? I've always used the normal switched on with a window switch and TPS, but if there is a better system out there then I'm all ears.

The progressive system can make the car more streetable. The one I have from N.O. pulsates the solenoids. The progressive controller is built into tps/window switch unit. The dedicated progressive output from the tps/window unit goes to a progressive driver. The signal from the progressive controller is to low to power the solenoids directly, so it needs to control the driver, which then activates the solenoids. You can program the controller to perform in a few different ways. Currently my jets are for a 50 shot. My window is 4500 to 6000. I have the controller set to a starting spray of 50% and a time span of 3 seconds. Which means, I get a 25 shot at 4500 and in 3 seconds it will be at a 50 shot (100%). And I have the controller programmed to reset to this ramp for each gear. Granted, I'm only in the 1st gear spray window for about 1 second, so I never reach the 50 shot. 2nd gear spray window is about 2 seconds and 3rd is about 3 seconds. Ramp time and initial percentage are adjustable. You can also adjust if you want to reset your ramp for each gear or just let it continue to build without resetting. There is also a 1st gear lock out, which means the nitrous will not activate until you reach the top end of the window switch 1 time. For now, I'm staying at a 50 shot and experimenting with it until I get some logging issues corrected. Sorry for the long read, but that was the only way I could explain it. Don't hesitate to ask anything.

I've really been wanting to do this exact same thing. Looks like a very nice install job. How do you like the progressive controller? I'm already over the limit of traction in first gear.

Thanks. So far it's been great, being able to make adjustments from the seat is a big +. Dropped to 4k on the window and down to 2 sec on the reset ramp. I'm on the stock tires. If, or after, I find the limit, I'll throw the 100 pills in it. The LNC2000 has adjustablity also. It has an instant retard as well as a ramp retard as well. Ya, I can see smack'n it with a 100+ shot would break it loose in 1st. That's why I figured I'd try this. Lot's of options and scenrio's to try. Trying to do it the safest way possible. The only thing that may be negative is that pulsing the solenoids could lead to more wear and tear on them in the long run.
Here's the progressive driver. Red, white and blue wires attached to it.

From the research I have been doing, about $2000 will get you a good system with all the bells and whistles.

Can't wait to make it to the strip. I want to dial it in as much as possible before I go to test n tune. Usually I can only get 3 runs on a tnt day. My buddy just got gears, tc, cobra intake and a cold air intake in his new 5.0 and has been talken trash. Sooooo, we'll see what happens.
Here are the rough costs from the websites.

Nitrous Outlet Total Package $1500
Progressive driver $50
Fuel hose upgrade $110
LNC2000 $300
Wire $70
Labor $0

Some other stuff I added
Autometer Wideband $280
Voltmeter $15 For LNC2000 feedback voltage
Master switch $15
Fuse holders $20
Purge relay $15
Fuel quick disconnect tool 3/8" $10
Wire loom $20
Fesler Pillar Pod $140
SCT Tuner $400
LED indicators $15
Add a fuse $10

For rough cost, see above. As for wiring, I'd say it would be on an intermediate level. Nothing very hard, just alot of it. Set some time aside so you can stay focused when wiring the system. Figuring where to run the wiring through out the vehicle took some time and deciding to add stuff along the way slowed things down. No kidding, I removed some panels at least 20 times. I almost have a diagram completed in excel. When I get it done, I'll post it somehow.

I didn't expect that the CAI could improve the sound after I installed the ARH LTs and complete exhaust. I was wrong. The CAI would have been worth it just for the looks.

Here's a pdf of my wiring. Wiring it is simpler than it looks.
