With a full sized spare sitting in the trunk, can it be tied down and secured so it won't bounce around over bumps? I haven't checked my trunk thoroughly yet to see if there are any hooks that could be used.

Yes, with a bungee cord it can pretty easily be secured.

There are 2 hooks- One one each side of the inner rear body panel.
I use the one on the right side with a 30" strap. It can't go anywhere.

Okay, I did some digging on my tire supplier account. I think I've *maybe* found a low buck combo that is a direct bolt-on with no spacers. Those of you that are willing to get rid of the silly rollerskate brake pads (I recommend Hawk Ceramic PC pads - excellent performance with much less brake dust than stock pads) can go with an 18" wheel spare combo. Otherwise, the 19" likely clears the rollerskate pad cars.

These have yet to be test-fit, but I believe they may work.

Drag DR-37 wheel 18x8.0 +15, BFG Radial T/A 245/55-18 tire - About $270 shipped (mounted/balanced)

-Or- for rollerskate pad cars

Drag DR-37 wheel 19x8.5 +20, Pirelli PZero 245/50-19 tire - About $410 shipped (mounted/balanced)

That's awesome, plus it is 7 lbs lighter than a stock front wheels and almost 13 lbs lighter than a stock rear wheel (18x8 DR-37 is 22.65 lbs and BFG 245/55 18 is 32.6 lbs). Every lb counts!

Tony, make it a 245/45-18 so it matches the height of my NT-05's(275/35-19's) and I'm in. I would prefer to not have to use spacers too.

Dannie, 245/45-18 Nitto NT555 adds $64 to the price above. Those BFG tires are dirt cheap.

I know the BFG tires are perfect height for those stock wheels. But, I'm not running stock wheels/tires.

Still not sure which wheels/tires I am going to run on Power Tour since I am going to run that Optima event at the end, which includes track time at Eagle Canyon Raceway....

Considering running those new BFG Comp2's in 275/40-19's, as they are supposed to have good drip and a little better treadwear that the Nitto NT-05's...
