Vararam question
So I recently installed my Vararam. Love it works awesome like evrybody elses, but noticed while driving in the rain the last few days and opening the hood, it seems water will get sucked up in there. I had a lot of water spot around the filter, and never had this before the filter. Wondering if this could be a bad thing in the long run. I have had cold air intakes before that had some type of water catch thing, but that was if the filter was submerged in water. Just know water in the engine = bad. Thanks.

From my honest opinion, I think you'll be fine. I just drove 150 miles through rain and nothing happened at all. It wasn't a little drizzle either, it was a pretty big storm that just happened to catch me on the road. Just my opinion, maybe some others will chime in.

I'm thinking about ordering one. I would like to know if this is an issue.

Not an issue, you would have to injest at least a gallon of water to make it an issue. I drive in Washington State daily if you have not heard it rains here alot. I have the Vararam intake and not once have I had an issue. I also know another person that has the same intake and he has not reported any issues.
If you drive in a lake then I would start to worry. |
