Adding a ZL1 front end to your car.

i wonder what a black cami with orange stripes looks like with a ZL1 bumper, with or without sideskirts, original V6/V8 grille and this hood:



haven't seen a black/orange one with the ZL1 front and original grill jet! in my opinion the heritage looks not good on ZL1!

and does it look stupid without the side skirts and only zl1 bumper?

i've been contemplating getting that hood. i can't make up my mind, but that's okay because i have a little while to go before i get the money together lol.

this might have been asked but I can't seem to go through all 94 pages to find it....How much does everything cost for the bumper? for the hood? Is the Gary's Custom ZL1 Bumper conversion more expensive than the DIY?

To be honest you can save yourself all the hassle getting all the parts together yourself and finding yourself a guy to paint it. Or you can pay for the convenience factor and have Gary paint it for you, which is the way to go if you don't have a paint guy. If I didn't have such a good connection with parts at my local GM dealer, I would of just bought it from Gary.

Everything you need is in the very first post as well as prices. If you purchased everything that is in Gary's kit at your dealer you will end up paying $1,050 plus shipping which will add close to another $200. So really you come out about the same.

Who has bought H11 LED bulbs for their fog lights???

I purchased some off eBay that came from China. They did not fit into my fog light housing I had to file away the opening to the housing, not to much filing.

They don't seem as bright as I wanted them to be. They are the correct color to match my DRLS and Headlamps.

Unfortunately this is your problem. I learned a long time ago that you do not buy electronics from china and wasted a lot of money learning it. Not all led's are created equal. There are some good lights on ebay, just avoid the ones that ship from china.

Now if he would just add the 2013 DoubleDIN to his inventory that would make him pure royalty

I hope to have 2 ways of doing it. we will see next Wednesday i plan on spending time on the GM site and get all the new wiring diagrams.
