You should be getting close to 20+ combined city/highway. I'm getting 18 MPG on an SS 6 speed manual.

You will need to break in ur engine and put more mileage in. Before I traded my for for my SS I was getting 21 around- city/hwy. Ok getting about 17-18 city and 20-21hwy on my SS. Give it time or trade the sucker in.

It will get better as it adjusts to your driving and you adjust to driving it. That's how mine started out, I now get about 19-20 in town and 22-24 highway.

When I first got my car brand new I was getting just a tad higher than that the few times that I drove mainly city but it got better over time and with mods like a cai. Just reset the gage everytime you fill up and you should see it go up over time. However if you are resetting the gage it takes a while to build up some distance on the car before you get a large enough sample that one hard take off doesn't skew the reading. When I first reset my gage and pull out hard from the gas station it reads under ten and then as I put more miles on it drving normally or only a bit aggressive it goes up.

I'm getting a steady 19, mostly city driving, about 2500 miles on it so far. Just changed over to full synthetic Mobil 1 about 300 miles ago, but no change. I gotta believe that as this mill breaks in and loosens up a little bit it will improve.

6 speed stick.
