The engine off a wrecked ZR1 turned out to be a ZO6, with all crate engine protective caps! And sitting on a stand.
And then there is another engine picture in the same directory which barely out of crate, with all factory protective caps.

If he had it professionally parted out, it could have been packaged, for shipping, after it was removed from the wrecked car.

Do they typically come out the create with the exhaust manifolds attached?

OP you gotta post a pic of the engine with you holding up a spoon in front of it for this cool story to be credible.

This is why I never talk about my internet racer Cavalier that runs 7.65 in the quarter and gets 83mpg. You guys are just way too anal about little things like facts.

where you see the number, you can actually click it and get to a url for the exact post. Just thought you might appreciate that

Although, I just realized that the OP's pic is before (4/28/12) the above post (4/29/12) so actually it might be the guy in your thread that stole the OP's picture. I think this actually gives more credit to the OP.

I know man. It's threads like this that make me afraid to tell everyone about my rocket-powered submarine car.

Well I wasn't too happy to see the flux-capacitor had fallen off during shipment, but I went and picked up a new one at O'reilly Auto and all was well. BTW, anyone else that needs one they're dirt cheap: http://www.oreillyauto.com/site/c/detail/EB00/121G.oap
