How is your better half dealing with your obsesion with the new camaro?

She's been saying for several months now that I'm obsessed, and you know she's right. I usually get the rolling eyes whenever I delve in to long conversation about the Camaro, but................

I found out that my dealer had their dealer car and asked if she wanted to go with me to see it. She did and we did go. After waiting on a guy to get back from his very long 30 minute joyride in the car, we hopped in and took off. Drove about 5 miles or so and turned around and then she hit me with the bomb!............................

"Can I drive it back?" I gave her a cold hard stare......:(........and a long one. And then she said "Well I know you want to drive it, so go ahead".

And I did, I drove about a 1/2 mile all the while thinking about what I was doing, and it came suddenly...............yes, my senses came back to me!
I pulled over and let her behind the wheel and she took off............without me

HaHa. That would be an even better story to tell! But she didn't leave me and we drove back to the dealer. Me, I'm thinking to myself...................."ZYAL8R", (that's what I call myself), "after all the late nights you spend on Camaro5 and all the dreams and nightmares you've put this poor woman through while you're agonizing about waiting on your new CAMARO, and all the serious discussions with your wife that you've interrupted and hi-jacked by talking about the CAMARO, it's the least I could do, is to let my Sexy-lil-mama drive that damn dealer car! After all she used to own a Camaro before we met and knows the feeling.

I felt so good about "doing the right thing" I said to myself again "ZYAL8R, you are the man"!

And then on the way home, she asked if I was gonna let her drive my 2SS/RS................................................ .................................................. .................................................. .................................................. ............................................. ................................I said NO!

I am a female and I ordered the exactly same car and can't wait to get it. Have 3 other camaros and this one is the brighter color I will have. I can't wait, tell her to like it or get out of the relationship. She will probably do that anyway since you will be spending more time with the car than her.

My wife was super stoked in the beginning once I ordered it because she thought that would be the end of hearing about it for a while. Boy was she wrong! No but she's been really supportive and I try not to bother her but twice a day with new details, pics, and news info

i am the girlfriend. I am twenty two and I was forced to drive a buick regal as my first car. I have been car obsessed since birth practically. Every one else in my family and my boyfriends family has fun fast cars and now that my regal is near its death bed i can FINALLY get a car I WANT and will love. When I first saw the concept camaro in transformers i was like that is a kick ass car but i'll never own it cause i'm just not that lucky. now thanks to savings accounts and determination... i am in the home stretch to owning a camaro. But since I also have to pay to get my masters degree I will be getting a 2LT RS, but mods are def going to happen.

My boyfriend thinks i'm crazy. And he laughs and rolls his eyes when he sees me checking the CAMARO5 boards. He says I pay more attention to the forums then him. But deep down I know he is just as excited as I am. He hates it when I make him drive my buick, but i bet I will have NO PROBLEMS getting him to drive when I get my camy. The other day he picked me up and we went to Munday Chevy cause they said they had one in the show room. When we walked up to it he was like SIT IN IT. lol. Which has only made my addiction worse. He took lots of pictures of the car for me, for me to drool over till the day I go get mine. He is even trying to think of cool things to put on my plates.

WHen I came back from the 2006 NAIAS in Detroit, I sat down with my Wife and we had a long talk. This car just knocked me out. We decided then that this would eventually be in our garage.

Fast forward to today. When we knew where our finances were (given the current state of the economy) we went to the one dealer we had selected from whom we would order.

Originally, we were going RJT with either grey or beige interior. THen we saw a Malibu sitting thee in the showroom. It was RJT. We looked at each other, "Nah, she said , that color doesn't belong on our Camaro."

So the die was cast. We ordered ours Black, 2SS, Manual, 20 Inch Polished Wheels, and the Inferno Orange Interior Trim Package. What a knockout (at least to us) combination. Wicked look and a wild interior.

Eventually, we added the Orange Trim Engine Cover, Orange Rally Stripes, and Splash guards. Saw my baby before the rally stripes applied last night. OH MY GOODNESS!!!

I have been on mission in Iraq for almost 2 years straight and she gladly went to the dealer and pre ordered it exactly the way I wanted it and even put a good chunk of change down on it for me and everything. Now granted in Late December I bought her a brand new Chevy Traverse which is actually a really cool and sporty crossover when I was home for XMAS break. BTW my better half (my husband) doesn't mind all my camaros. He has just about the same amount. Between the two of us we have 16 camaros. I do love them as much as him. And I do care about things like HP. There are woman that are all about motors, cars, motercycles and other man-type things! I bet there are some women that know more about this camaro than some men!

My girlfriend won't let me tint the wondows, at least not right away. She said nobody will se her inside with the tint. She loves the car and is really looking forward to getting behind the wheel.

My wife is a true companion. She even offered to not get her new car & instead let me get my 2010 Camaro. I'm really lucky, but I'll be even luckier when I get the 2010 Camaro SS because I know I will get lots car goodies as gifts on christmas ,birthdays & fathers day.

When i first saw the car i told her i was going to buy it she laughed. Then i kept on going on about buying it, she stopped laughing and started yelling. Then she saw the price and told me it was okay. Then she started looking at the camaro on here with me and now she wants one. She a good wife going on two years of marriage.
