The rivalry is alive and well. Relax and have fun with the car you spent your hard earned money on

I'm sure next year the GT 500 will win....the following year who knows....just enjoy what we are getting....from both camps....its all good.

Nobody is banging on the ZL1...... and this has nothing to do with the Shelby. I just think everyone who is going to buy a ZL1 or just loves the ZL1 would like to know what its REAL STOCK numbers are. Just like if you buy a pure breed puppy you want to see his papers. On top of that Team Camaro cares what the numbers are! This is why they just released this information, so why should we the consumer not care

It is truly sad when people on here get posts deleted because they question the almighty General. It impairs the discussion and takes away from the quality of the board.

I had mine deleted almost immediately earlier.. I cross linked to another article stating the time had been run on DRs.. We were then basically threatened with deletion after that. It's sad, because no one was bashing the car.. Just asking for clarification from very obviously conflicting reports.

I didn't say you shouldn't care just saying to enjoy it for what it is and it has everything to do with the GT 500....at least for the mustang people that post on here and get people excited for no reason. Is there really a difference for you if the car runs 11.93 or 12.04 on stock tires? If its a deal breaker for you then buy a different car and if your going to the track with it a lot your more then likely going to modify it. Plus who's to say GM's driver is better then someone else....its all subjective and you know what the ballpark numbers are.

If I was the master, I would remove you from this forum completely. You're like a little brother bugging the life out of us and annoying us because you can't read nor understand anything about everything!
Let's see if this gets deleted...

I guess it wouldn't matter to people who truly love the Camaro no matter what, like me. But it does matter in a way that people don't like being BS'd. This car was so hyped by Team Camaro to be the GT500 killer and it is turning out, in real world, that it really isn't. But I suspect this is another necessary marketing scheme in light of the real world results that are being posted by real world drivers for "showroom stock" ZL1s. GM fed us with nice #s from "PRE-production" cars from 100% GM controlled testings. Had there been no recorded absolute "ZL1 is better statements" and letter, simulations, powerpoint presentation...and GM just let the ZL1 speak for itself like Ford is thus far doing with the new GT500, I don't think critics would be this abundant.
