Talk to the dealer about your concerns nicely and relax alittle. This stuff can be fixed and does happen all the time. Black is an easy color to repaint and touchup because you dont have to worry about blending and the black is easy to match. The dealer painting will most likely be better than the factory anyway.

Unfortunelatly, factory paint is way more durable than aftermarket. Factory pieces are baked at 1000 degrees hotter than a bodyshop paint booth. Factory paint is much less likely to chip as opposed to aftermarket.

Wrong.
I am not a paint expert, but just based on my personal experiences factory paint has always been better. Paint problems on most cars have been on cars that have been repainted.

I don't doubt there are some great painters out there, but I haven't been lucky enough to find them.

Deal ships usually do shitty paint work.

Aftermarket paint can be way better than factory paint I don't understand all love for gm factory orange peel on this forum the sucky thing is I have never had top notch waranty pair work. I would try to see if you can get the $$ for the waranty jobs and go somewhere who prides themselves in paint work.

The way gm pays the dealers for the work and the skill level they employ at dealership paint shop don't equal top notch work.

You DON'T actually own a 5th gen with factory "chip magnet" paint, or you'd realize how very wrong you'd be on that.

The base and clear on the factory jobs is ultra thin. So thin you just about cant do any wetsanding on it to get rid of the orange peel. The less the factory puts on them the more money they save. Dont know where you guys been going to get paint work done but maybe you need to do a better job of finding a shop that does quality work.

It would be nice if life was perfect. I have never bought a new car that came blemish free. The haze in the spoiler just needs some buffing with the right product.

Mine just had a slight haze on the right rear corner almost to the tail light. I just took it to my auto body guy and he buffed it out in about 5 minutes. I'm sorry for all of your problems and hope you get it straightened out

oh i really want it, just venting and getting opinions. when you spend what i spent on your next car and it comes with some half a** touch ups then you tell me what you feel. ive loved all the camaros ive owned but in 20 years ive never had 1 with good paint so buying brand new ones i thought id get to experience that feeling fully.

Give the dealer a chance to make it right. if they can't make them take it back and get you 2013.
