Is their away to get the HP File in a laptop w/o the $500 HP package? I know they have it locked. If he does not take it back to IPS how can we get the file sent to Texas Speed? I have no idea what to do. He got po-ed and told me to pay for it. I have no money.

The fact you just had the engine tuned why are you or anyone saying its bad gas???? Go back to the tuner and have them FIX IT!

I wouldn't trust the people at Autozone, given that most of them are absolutely clueless about automotive technology. Bad gas can cause a decrease in power, namely at WOT (QuikTrip is notorious around here for that). However, if it's really bad, it can cause startup, idle, and running issues. That's unlikely though unless the car was sitting for months and the gas in the tank was old. I'd have him recheck somewhere what the DTCs are and actually write down the code instead of asking the AZ employees what they mean. The code will have the format PXXXX where the XXXX is a four digit code, usually all numbers (but sometimes a letter in there). If it starts with U, it's a communications/BCM related code.

Some people's attitudes are very ahead of themselves here.

Autozone employees are pros at diagnostics. After six bean burritos I went to Autozone. After multiple "backfires" the girl behind the counter told me I had "bad gas."

Hit your Onstar button (assuming you still have it) and tell them you want to speak to a technical specialist. They will tell you what codes are being thrown.

All ready thought of that but he did not renew. Was just going to post, That car does not sound like it is missing to me at all. Also It is not as loud as it was before he had it retuned. I will get a new video and post it up on Thursday. The RMP's are not going up and down like it was in this video.

ok, went and got his keys, started car up and the RPM's are all most steady now, just 2 hairs. I hit the On * and a lady came on but that department was closed she told me. I will get it done tomorrow! It does not sound like it is missing. I am not even sure if that is his engine light!!! He may be very paranoid! I will find out and get that video.

Ok, On* said their is no codes so I told my Dad. He calmed down for now. We have run Seafoam threw if before, in the gas and the spray. He told me the bad gas must of ran out of it then b/c no codes came up

Ok, engine light is on, so I hit the On * and she ran the tests and came back, P0300 Miss fire. I could tell something is wrong sitting in that car with that light on. My Dad told me to Call IPS Monday.
