Engine Light For Bad Gas?

My Dad's engine Light came on when he was coming back from having his car retuned and it was checked at Autozone and he said it was Bad gas? Is there such a code? I asked him for the print out and he said they did not give him one and the car is just all broken. I think he trew the paper away b/c he is mad.

If he had it "retuned" I would take it to whomever "retuned" it and have them take a look at it.

The bad gas thing might be a reasonable answer if he hadn't just had it tuned.
It looks like the tune is the real problem though. He needs to bring it back to the tuner.

Well I guess they all have there problems or they (tuners) feel they figure we would never no anything is wrong b/c being a little slow. I do not know what it is. But you told me to drill a hole in the CAI box and when I told IPS that they said do not do that, to bring it to them. They found out that the tune was making the convertor lock and unlock over and over and that is why it was slower. Not from the CAI sucking in heat. I tried to work with you but you kept telling me it was fine. We had problems with RDP as well, had the tranny all messed up. He would not put the tranny back to stock so he had to take it to a dealer to get flashed. That was before he got the SCT from u. You should of gave him his money back but I'm not going their.

How do you give money back for a tune when the tune was FREE.

If you followed my instructions and put your trust in me you would not be in the messes you are always in.

Just look around at the cars we build and tune all over the world, your one of so very few that gave up rather than follow my directions.

I can't help those who jump from shop to shop to shop to shop.

Sorry your having so many Problems.

Ted.

Ted, did follow the instructions. If U mean by drilling the Airbox on the Airaid, was told not to. Oh well, thats over and done with. He sold the SCT. I talked to him today and the codes are for, Miss fire and injectors. They cleared them and just came right back. He will not take it back to IPS now. So what ever. I know i'm sick of being yelled at. I guess it's my fault for telling him to go to IPS in the first place.

The idea of getting bad gas I think is bs. I drive my suv 60k miles a year around Ohio Michigan Pennsylvania Kentucky and west Virginia . I buy gas from every and any cap hole gas station for the last 20 years and I never got bad gas. Take your car back to your tuner and tell him to do it right or refund your money! It drives me crazy every time I read about someone doing major mods to their car and then think the codes they get is bad gas. ITs YOUR MODS !!!!!

He is pretty mad and said he will not take it back to them now. I have no idea what he is going to do. He probably will not take it back. They just retuned for free for him on Monday. I bet he will have his friend take it to the track, then he will be even more mad when its slower then what it was 2 weeks ago.

If the car not running right why would he take it to the track? You blow the engine the you will be really mad!...... Get the problem fixed drive it around for a few days to be sure everything is good then go to the track.
