Yep, grew right along with the shop, Camaro, motorhome...ect....
It is now all new exterior, front entry, driveways, kitchen, 2/12 bath, closets (custom cabinets), new fences and soon landscaping. Adding 2,100 ft, 2 bedrooms, 2 baths, laundry room, den and smoking porch (for me). Pool getting a redo, along with the bath house and a new outdoor kitchen.
Damn landscaping shows on tv now having us trying to figure out how to do a waterfall and pond.
The really bad part is now my Mom wants a bunch of work done to her house. So I guess I have another 2 months of construction work after I finish the homestead.

You have water for a waterfall and pond in West Texas? Or are you using West Texas Intermediate Crude? There has to be more oil on your property than water

Man I wish! All of our gold grows on trees in the form of golden sweet pecans. However currently the price of pecans looks like they will be off about 33% from last years high. Truth is the consumer and industry need a price break, as consumption as fallen quite a bit over the last two years. Our biggest issue beyond price is lack of water, things are getting really bad out here.
The nearest oil or gas well is about 130 miles from us.

Yes Sir! Believe me I am ready to get some wrench time.....no I need it!

Pecan business is a lot more work when markets are sloppy . Then there is the house remodel where I am the general contractor, kids, farm, wife, and what little time is left over is for me and my passions.
Oh Heck, things are good, my time to play will come soon enough.

My Camaro / Lower control arm update:

Welding is complete on the lower control arms. I had a local chassis shop TIG weld them for me.

I used my friend's end mill to machine the extra length off of the steel sleeves, so all work is now complete for the lower control arms.

Dropped the LCA's off at the powder coating shop today.
Will have them back in 2 weeks.

All parts are in hand except LCA's. Made an appointment with my mechanic (from Portsmouth chevrolet) to help me at my garage
to swap the clutch and set up the clutch hydraulics Wednesday next week. Everything has been replaced in the clutch hyd. system with improved parts.

All of the drive train parts are done and ready to go back in.
All suspension upgrades are complete.

oh... BTW.. I just added this toy to my stable.
It's a used 2011Vette with 8,000 miles on it..6 speed trans. 2LT trim.

Hi Mike,
I didn't ask.. I told her "I miss my 'vette! I can afford this one.."

She replied.. Go ahead.. you are going to anyway...

Yes Pete, I am a Camaro addict. It's all paid off.
The Camaro isn't going anywhere, except to a racetrack near me once it's back together.
Plan this year is to drive it in, race it hard, drive it home.

The vette will be a Daily Driver for me..

I don't plan on modding it till there are Pedders parts available...
I am planning on keeping it under factory warranty for quite a while.
Camaro will get all the "goodies".

Nice Dan, and I like your disclaimer...... "till there are Pedders parts available".
My bet is changes happen before the warranty's gone

Sooo, new clutch hopefully going in Friday - hopefully does the trick. And yes, Mike.... time to come off the awesome lift and enjoy some play time

New Vette is home, tucked in the garage. Parked right next to the Camaro.

Looks like I will be modding the vette.. after all. The Stock suspenstion SUX!
It's way too sloppy for my taste. (Car has the base suspension)

So.. I'm already looking around on the corvette forum for take off Z-51 parts (shocks and swaybars).

Car has the dual mode exhaust and has an annoying drone at an idle.. that's gotta go.

It needs an updated radio with NAV...

so much for no Mods right away.... That lasted 10 minutes. LOL

Better to ask for forgivness than beg for permission, or so I am told.
