have not been to SAR in a almost a year. been a few month's since I went LRD. :(
Point out what rules I have broken. Come on out and we can discuss in person. I find opinions and attitudes tend to change when face-to-face conversation happens.

I agree with this as well. It adds a human element to the discussion which I think is lost when "having a conversation" on a forum.

Stock Suspension.

With LCA's, UCA's and enough power with a sticky tire, an S197 doesn't have an issue cutting 1.4-1.5 60fts. You don't need full blown drag racing suspension to launch that hard.
Thank you.

Yeah. Lot of big balls when guys talk on a forum. Not too many that are willing to back it up in person though.

It is not for me to decide rules.

I have found that car people are car people. And even the biggest Internet know it all, is usually pretty cool at meets and the track. Even the mustang people I know are cool.....But I just asked one of them if he would join a camaro forum to antagonize I mean educate camaro owners and he said no. Must be something wrong with him

What time are you planning to be there? I'll be there when the gates open and you can find me helping with the 2 fastest 2011+ 5.0's there. Not hard to find.

If you are willing to be smart here surely you are willing to do so face-to-face.

I have extended an invitation in the past to you and have yet to see you show up. If you aren't willing to talk about it in person, you have nothing to say behind a keyboard.

Point out what rules I have broken.

Dude, when I get to go to the track wich isn't much. Like I said twice in the last year. The last damn thing I'm thinking about is getting into some confrontation with you or anyone else. Now it seems to me you take this way to serious.

You need to develope a sense of humor. And maybe take some anger management classes. Lighten up francis( age related movie refrence) if your going to hang in the other camp you should at least be able to laugh about it

I am a pretty laid back person but you have no way of knowing that from a forum post. Given your past disdain for me posting here and your responses in this thread, do you not expect the same in return?

I have offered to meet you in person to discuss, you declined.

If you don't have anything on topic to post then why post?

I can take what I dish out and enjoy the discussion. You are the one who called me and my "attitude" out.

I don't have "disdain" for anyone. As I have said before, I don't understand your attempted indoctrination of this forum. Everybody's in to something, your into fords and that's cool. You don't have to make it your mission in life to make sure everyone else knows it. Be cool and laugh stuff off. Sometimes it's ok to let a guy think he has the best car on the planet. It takes nothing away from you.

And I never declined to meet you. It's a hundred miles from my house. so I don't go much. When I do I will happily let you know.

93 miles one way for me as well.

This has nothing to do with a "mission" nor does it have to do with "educating". I owned a Camaro and that is what brought me here initially. I contributed quite a bit with installs and how-to's, answered other member's PM's, offered advice to those looking to change or mod their cars, etc...

There are a few things I think the Camaro community does better. For example, I think Ted@Jannetty is a stand up guy. He did an outstanding job testing CAI's for the SS and posted unbiased results. I wish the Mustang community had a shop who would do the same. Unfortunately there are more "politics" going on in that scene so a couple of community members have to do it and report results back on their own dime/time.

Regardless of the community, I have an issue with BS that get's posted. Be it Camaro, Challenger, or Mustang related. I have a tendency to respond to it.

I also enjoy "spirited discussion" with other car owners. I don't see the harm in that as-long-as there are no rules broken and regardless of how much ass I like to kick in my lowly Ford.

If you really want to know who and what kind of person I am, the invitation remains open.

And yes it is a big deal.

The rear tires are the single most important thing for a car at the drag strip. You are obviously clueless.
Every tenth off of your 60ft is worth about .2 tenths in the 1/4.
For example.
If a stock camaro were to run a 13.0 with stock tires on a 2.0 60 ft it would run approximately 12.4 with a 1.7 60ft.

The best ever recorded 60ft on the stock tires is ~1.9. People have got down to as quick as 1.6 with slicks and bolt ons.

I bet to differ sir.....

Stock tires:
