Whatever the case the car ran the number and congrats on one hell of a run!
Uh, did you read post #1? All the info you see is there.

Throw enough power at it and something will break; this goes for all cars not just the ZL1. How do you find the limits of a combo until you push it till it breaks; then you know what you can get away with before you need to upgrade whatever broke.

GM made a good car here but if your saying there's no weak parts in the drivetrain your just kidding your self.
Nope, not kidding myself. Do you see any broken parts? huh? do you? I'm sure at SOME point something can break, but I'm guessing it'll take 1000 hp.
The point was that the biggest and best part about this car is the RE ENGINEERED parts built to handle way in excess of stock power levels.

Yes i did, and im asking if they possibly left out some important info. If theyre claiming they did this with only the tiny factory blower @ full weight and "only" 700rwhp im calling bs. I really dont want to cause im a fan of their work and theyre a very well respected shop but im just calling it how i see it.

If theyre trapping 142mph with nothing more than a h/c setup with the stock blower then this thing should trap 155mph or more with a 427 and big twin screw and ive yet to see that out of a full weight SS much less a 4200lb ZL1.

All mods were listed. We were determined to go 9's first and the tune was "on murder" and it was on race gas. It was going 9's running or not when done.. Lol

Our tuner was with me at the track and we crossed our fingers and threw a bunch of timing in it after adding the race gas.

Others shops claim the low 10 second ET'S at similar mph without ported heads and obviously we don't know how aggressive their tune was. We weren't worried about breaking the engine and fortunately didn't..

Awesome job Rick and Andy! It's great to see more shops being honest about what they do and not break out the line "this was on our conservative tune".

How much is a cobra jet or a copo? It is more than that and you can't register the car.

Yor 30k number is out of the air as well it has not been posted. It would not be 30k if you did you own work for sure. It would be half that easy.

I've gotta admit, I was with BigHemiSrt on this one, but this explanation says a lot... And like he said a highly respected shop so no reason to doubt now... Awesome Job...

They had the car at Rodger's chevrolet yesterday at a big Camaro event and they even had a 'for Sale' sign on it for $72k.

1000 hp? Riiiiight! I guess you missed the part in the mods list where they said it had HARDENED RODS and race gas. I'll give you one clue why all these modified runs are not on pump gas. CAUSE IT CAN'T HANDLE IT!!!...
