Engine is one thing and probably the 1st thing to go on this car... then the rest of the drivetrain which is what I believe he refers to... Point is we haven't found the weak link yet, but quite sure it will be found before 1K.

The lower end is stock.. It says hardened pushrods. The car would live at the 707 number on pump gas no problem and still go low 10's. I made probably 10+ low 10 second passes on pump gas before adding race gas. We have several CTS-V's with this package that are driven daily on pump gas.

Agreed, grocerygetter. And they are being very upfront about what they did, why they did it, and what they expected.

Hmmm....with that logic, is this REALLY a GT500 anymore? After all, they changed the blower, which is really the heart and soul of making that motor (the heart and soul of the car) capable of running 9's...

Holly crap... You've got to be kidding me... One of the most impressive things here is the SMALL list of mods that it took to go 9's... You sir need to take a look at the list of mods it takes to get an SS into the 9's

Our tuner was with me at the track and we crossed our fingers and threw a bunch of timing in it after adding the race gas.

Others shops claim the low 10 second ET'S at similar mph without ported heads and obviously we don't know how aggressive their tune was. We weren't worried about breaking the engine and fortunately didn't..

Agreed, i was very impressed it did it with no suspension or drivetrain mods.

^^^ That right there is what has me so excited about my ZL1 purchase... then take a look at the sweet packages you guys offer to easily and very inexpensively put my car deep into the 10's
