Had the sample problem a week after I took my car out of storage and was on the last but of gas left from when i stored it. I did put in stabil but when I called Onstar they said my miss-fire was either caused from bad gas or moisture in the gas. Went to the dealership later and they suggested I put in dry-gas and I did and have yet to have a miss-fire.

Not sure what is going on with it. It sure is running rough now. Oh well. His buddy and him ware coming back from the track and the light came on. Was still on when he got home and I started it and was on and running shaky. When I got off with On* I reved the bull chit out of it, still was running shaky. On* wanted to send a tow truck. I was sitting in the driveway.

Called IPS today and was told it is not from the tune. So the car is going to a local Shop Wednesday morning. I looked at all the plug Wires, tight and none melted. Also the coil wires look fine. Hope its something simple. If needs be my Dad will get a HP tuner Kit and have the file looked at. But I think it is not the tune myself from being a random Missfire. But I am guessing.

Did you pull the plugs out and look at them? Might be a bad plug, things happen. I had a crap load of misfires after my cam change so i had my tuner disable the misfire codes. Easiest way in my opinion.

No I did not pull any plugs out. They went in when the cam did. The guy that is going to look at it should be able to find it, I hope. It does sound like crap so it has to be missfiring. Just weird it happened after it was retuned, but then the code was gone and sounded fine and came back. This car is starting to be a big pain in the butt!!!

Well sorry to hear a lot of bad things.over here not many people have vvt cam. So most advices are worthless.

I see p0300 and p219a once.0300 was Right after I check plugs maybe not connect coils correctly. But after reconnect and sct cleard nothing come back again.

To behonest on your dyno result, the torque seems bit low. I see lots l99 Bolton cars getting 380-390 but not much longer compared to a cammed car.. I was hoping to see 420ish torque on vvt3.... To sad I don't have a dyno shop locally so I can't get a result to compare with yours.

Also I wish to ask, is your valve train noisy after 2500rpm?mine become very noisy after the cam fitted with the PAC springs and tsp pushrods...

Well the guy at the shop could not find any thing wrong with it. He said it is bad gas. The Engine light is still on with same code. So now my Dad is getting it to the dealer on Thursday to have them look at it.

Your Wasting your Time and Money, the Problem is in the Tune.

Cams cause Random Misfire codes and the Misfire tables need to be adjusted to prevent P0300 Codes.

Also any time a P03XX code is set, a Case Learn is Recommended which can now be done Via SCT X3 Special Functions.

If you Want my Help, My Door is Open!

On One condition, You Follow My instructions to the Letter and not second guess me.

Ted.
