GMAC credit check

Anybody using GMAC to finance? I ordered a black 2SS 5/15 and I get an inquiry alert from my credit report. Turns out the dealership and GMAC did a credit check. Is that normal for a car I wont see for 2-3 months?? Is GM dealers that wary of their customers? Because, u know they will run another check at delivery which is not good for ur score.

Go pull your own 3 in one plus FICO and look for errors.

If you gave them a credit app, then that gave them the authorization to pull. 2 pulls in 3-4 months will not hurt you much if any, but be wary of pulling it many more times between now and delivery

Normal, need to see your score to see if you will qulaify for loan! If your score was not high enough they may not even take the order.

When you pull your record there is no hit. Only when you apply and don't take it or get rejected.

Hey Jim, you got a 2SS BLK/BLK, sunroof and polished wheels available? I am having trouble just getting my order from October just to go to production. I am really getting tired of getting no answers from my dealer in Syrmna.

If you didn't give them written permission they are wrong. I would ask them about it, I believe it might even be illegal and a violation of your privacy. You credit bureau will be able to tell you for sure.

Ah I read the original thread a second time. Sounds normal to me if you ordered the car and signed a GMAC application.

My score is 790 so I have no worries. I just didn't think they would pull it now, I thought they would do it only 1 time closer to delivery..Depending on the rate they give, I might have to go through my bank.. There's no way a person with excellent credit should be paying 6-7% for financing.

you would be very surprised what folks are paying with GREAT credit these days. without manufactures advertised low rates the normal banks are up there.

some credit unions are advertising 5-6% to their members now so that helps
