Mace or anyone.. Do you have a list of bolt sizes to make this work with a 25mm insulator? How thick is the Plenum spacer?

4x M8x160 bolts
and the number of bolts on the outside X M6x35 if that helps

1.25 Pitch for the M8's and 1.00 for the M6s?

Is the spacer 1/2 inch thick?

They're both metric coarse pitch. The spacer is 1/2"

OK, so 160mm is the total length including the bolt head, or just the neck and threads?

I was about to install mine and the amount of bolt "standing up" after unthreaded doesn't look like enuff to cover a 12mm spacer and still have adequate threads to secure it all.

I've got the 25mm insulator and my bolts are just 152mm to go after the washers. 155mm if you go without the washers. 6.25 inches total end to end (158.75mm, I believe).

BTW, I think I got an early set of black bolts with my 25mm- I saw later bolt kits were silver, was there a small change in lengths?

Mine have done fine with just the 25mm, but I don't believe I've got enuff bolt for another 12mm. Should I have received new bolts?

Thanks...

ok, i am a bit confused; i just ordered the ported IM and 25 mm spacer, still thinking about this plenum spacer.

i thought the plenum cover just bolted to the top of the IM, why is the 25mm spacer changing the length of the plenum cover bolts??

do these bolts go all the way through the IM to the heads?

guess i need to see a diagram????

UPDATE!!!!! OK, just looked at a diagram, seems there are 4 bolts that go through the plenum to the heads, i think i got it!!

Yes- order part #92068813 from your Chevy dealer.

It's a oil fill tube extender- raises it 1". Then raise the mounting post on the passenger side of the engine an equal amount and you're good to go.

Hood clearance will not be an issue.

Now who's got an answer about my bolt dilemma??

Just made a trip from Charlotte to Va Beach and then Philly.......the car ran smooth as butter. The added plenum spacer made a world of difference while driving the car. I also think the highway fuel consumption might have improved as well.

Good Job Steve! And thanks Bmore for the spacer!

Now I need to get the ported IM

The bolt lengths found in the later MI623's is 160mm (excluding the head). It's for this reason you didn't receive the new bolts. Send us an email and we'll get this sorted

I sure wish we could see a dyno with stock, then stock + ported IM, then ported IM + insulator, then finally ported IM + insulator + plenum spacer.

That would be Boss.

Or even just a before/after with the plenum spacer on a stock OR modded car.

You'd think the claimed drop in KR would add a few extra HP on top of all of this. Jay was running this combo and said when the plenum spacer was added he saw a nice drop in KR.

I plan on getting my car dyno'd with just the Vararam intake and then another dyno after i add all those goodies. I just won't be able to get a dyno for each setup you stated above because I can't see myself throwing away over $300 in dyno's.
