I am geting an ss to but some people just take in the fact of what gas will cost annually in a vehicle for budget purposes which i think is smart. I ve see a lot of sports cars for sale after a year or two because young kids or dumb people bought the car and now cant afford to pay for what it takes to keep it on the road.

Gas prices never are a factor when I purchase a car. When it get's to the point where we all have 50 MPG plus cars, they will wack the price of gas up accordingly.
We now have more efficent cars than ever with lot's of hybrid / electro cars comming to the market, yet we are paying more than ever for gas, Sadly it will still continue to climb irregardless of how efficent cars become and how low the price of crude may drop......... Take it for what it is, gasoline is a commidity that we can not do without and the petrol companies and government are litterally bending us over the barrel and filling their pockets. |

I'm glad the LT and SS both get good mileage for their engine sizes, but I am also of the opinion that anyone worried about the price of gas should probably not be buying a new $35,000 car. I never really understood this fear of higher gas prices anyway. I mean, a car is an essential, and unless you drive a truck for work all day long, your piece of mind and moods should not be regulated by what OPEC does. There are lots of places to cut an extra $20 or $50 per week out of the budget. And with the Camaro, it's a passion purchase anyway. We're not rational here, so I say screw the price of gas, just let me drive my car!

Hmm...If I'm buying a car like this I almost completely don't care abou the price of gas...
Keep in mind up here I just filled my Mustang up at 100.9/litre =~ 3.25$/gallon US. Like everyone on here has already said; you pay to play. Now, if I had a crazy commute to work or something I wouldn't get a car like this in the first place. As it is now I have a 93 beater Mazda that I drive to work and back because I don't feel like beating my Mustang up every day. I only drive it for fun or to enjoy the drive... When I get my Camaro(although still haven't decided 6 or 8) it'll be the same idea... |

I am buying a 2SS on the sole premise that I dont give a flying F*$@ what the gas is going to cost me. Anyone that is buying an SS in today's market and is concerned about gas prices needs to seriously rethink their purchase.
I on the other hand will chuckle when people start crying about the gas prices going up again and ask eachother "What are we gonna do?!"... It's simple... FILL UP! And I'll have a big smile on my face as im filling up the tank in my Camaro SS!

I think I'm going to love getting 20mpg in my new Camaro. It may not get 29 the way I drive but I'm paying cash so I think I will have enough for the gas.

This Camaro gets great gas mileage... shouldn't be much difference for most folks except running premium. And those SS buyers made the decsion to spend an extra 30 cents when they ordered.
The REAL problem now is keeping your foot out of it...
