Top Hydraulics Issue

So I locked my keys in the trunk yesterday. I got out the wrench that was included and manually raised my top. I then pulled the emergency release inside the trunk and got my keys.
I then closed the hydraulic pressure release.
Later on in the day I opened and closed the top again and it worked well but there was this sort of gurgling sound and when I checked there was some liquid by the pressure release bolt, a very small amount.
When I tried to put the top up today it went up one foot and then stopped. The motor keeps whining and there is a slight gurgling or bubbling sound. There is also some liquid by the hydraulic release bolt.
I've tightened the knob all the way so there shouldn't be any liquid releasing.
Any suggestions?

Did you make certain you turned the wrench only 2 full turns to the left?

I don't believe the Owners Manual states that one needs to turn the bolt 2 full turns to the right again after the top has been raised.

I turned it two to the left, the owners manual states that you need to turn it clockwise when you're done. It doesn't say how much so I just turned it until it stopped.

Don't you hate when you do something like that! I locked the keys in the ignition in one of my verts one time. Called my wife to bring the other set to me. She was taking a long time so I called her back. She was on her way. I told her to please hurry every chance she got cause it looked like it was going to rain and the top was down.

Yeah you feel so dumb when that happens. Second time it happened this year. Both times in the trunk when I went to put a ball away.

Smart phone app for those who have Onstar active, I haven't locked my keys in the car thankfully, the app is free and could certaimly come in handy in this situation; Unless your phone is locked in the car too !

saahilrtrivedi : don't have any advise for you except to call or stop by your dealer, would like to hear your follow up though please

so I was looking through the battery compartment in the trunk and there is green liquid there so I suspect that there is a broken seal in the hydraulics system. Someone else said it could be air pockets.
Either way I am getting in touch with my dealership.
I'll keep you updated.
The first time I locked my keys in the car was a couple weeks after OnStar expired.
I haven't renewed.

The pump got air locked. Then u run it and that destroys the pump from no cooling. If top don't move if a few seconds stop and let go of button. Open valve again and cycle top up then Bach down. Close valve with top down tightly. Then hit button again.

Thanks for that info that'll be useful if this happens again (hopefully not)

The dealership didn't call me back today about my car so I called them right now and turns out it won't be done til tomorrow. Atleast it'll be fixed though.

Dealership fixed it. It was an issue with the pump. I think the service guy mentioned draining the hydraulic fluid and I think I got a new pump.
