Looking good Father Paul. It is pretty cool that I now know 2 Catholic priest and each one enjoys 1 of my hobbies. Father David is a big time computer junkie and game player and you with Camaro's. I am really going to enjoy heaven when it is my time with cool guys like you as friends.

Padre,
Do you have a full list of your suspension mods? Your car seems to hook up great and I want to mimic that with my M6, as long as my driving will allow it anyway.

18" TSW Nurburgring's with 305/45-18 Mickey Thompsons, saves 12lbs per corner BMR Rear Trailing Arms BMR Differential Bushings BMR Rear Sway on tightest setting (front sway deleted) BMR 1" Lowering Springs I love the lowering springs for the look, but if you're looking to hook, I would do them last if at all. They MAY hurt and not help. M6's may also benefit from other suspension components. The main thing is to look at how to get rid of or minimize wheelhop. Padre |

Reread the whole thread just now, lots of good stuff.
Back around post #270 you mentioned you added a degree of timing except around peak torque, where you took some out. So you where 25 degrees and went to 26 degrees? Now that I've had my car over 6 weeks (including the accident time), I'm starting to wonder some stuff. So you are still stock trans and no cooler? Do you log trans temps? Do you hotlap at all? Back in the old stock fan days, did you have the fans coming on sooner, any advice? Gotta say, I've got similar goals to camarowguy though I'm pretty sure I'll need a converter to run 11.9. But I'm game to try a blower if yours is holding up stock. How much boost are you seeing these days?

Hey John, here's an example of my timing back on 9/30/11. I had already tuned it so that it was in the 25-26* range, but tuning it on the track meant pulling more timing at peak torque. You can see the highlighted portion below, with the lowest timing right at peak (it was in that range where I added back 1* with good air):
Now, I am still on stock tranny and no cooler. I do hotlap, but since I'm also cooling the tranny fluid with my EWP and fans, I'm OK. With my setup now (160* stat, EWP, fans programmed, and HEX Vents), I can cool down from 195* to 165* ECT in literally 3 minutes. ![]() When stock with just a 160* thermostat, I just programmed the fans to turn on when they can. Without a 2 or 3-bar tune, you can't get them to come on any lower than 192* or so. As for boost, I'm at a comfortable 9.5. That's with the wastegate on a 5psi spring. Basically, that's on my street tune, which dynoed at 593/535. With an 8psi spring, we saw 619/572. But I dialed it back wanting to save the motor for my GTO when I go forged on this build. Will you run the 11.0 index in anticipation of the heat slowing the cars down next week? I know you ran last week in the heat and I think you were dancing in the high 10's and low 11's IIRC.
