Slap on a Vortech on an L99 and your mid 11's ... Iam wondering if the Tune with TCM if there is too much Torque management turned on? Someone on here that would know could chime in. That much HP you should be in the 11's.. I know there are other factors-Heat, Altitude and such.

I've dropped air pressure in my stock Pirelli's, went 1.94 60 ft stock. I can feel a difference.

I dropped the air pressure slowly and found that 16 on the those radials was the sweet spot for traction at the drag strip. at least for me and that car.

Mid to low 12's is very respectable. It's not like it's slow by any means. I wonder too if anyone who is bitching about these times has ever driven a 12 second car? It's GD fast! Just be happy the ZL1 is doing this stock. A few tweaks and the ZL1 is one bad mamma jamma.

My 12's are also being ran at a 5000'+ DA.

My hats off to the ZL1 for being an incredibly fast stock car..

I'm running 11s with an SS... Honestly, these days.. 12 is the new 13.

With all the constant hype about the car from many sources, it should be in 11s.. Not 12s.. So, no, I don't find 12s impressive for the "second coming" that this car was hailed as.. The other car's times are what this one should be posting...

But, this car wasn't really built to be a 1/4 mi brawler... You don't need a lot of the "cool stuff" that it comes with if you're just running the straights and, it's actually penalizing the car to have it on there if you're just straight lining it..

Someone mentioned awhile ago that if PTM 5 included an 80/20 or 90/10 front shock setting for 5-8 seconds after launch, that would aid the weight transfer, then have the shocks firm up for aero/control on the "big end".

That, and a more aggressive setting by "launch control" would improve times considerably...
