although the plastidip colors are flat, the white really does seem to have some gloss to it. Mine matches gloss white pretty well actually lol... maybe the yellow acts the same??

Question to plastidippers:

With my white wheels, where it is showing the silver through (basically where I really didn't get the coats on well), should I just apply more plastidip on top, or should I start brand new?

You can always try a quick touch up. Worst case is you rip it off and start over and you're only out a little extra spray.

Any word if Plasti-Dipped Tailights allow similiar light output to GTS covers.
I'm tempted to just pull mine off and try but don't really want to take the time to apply new 3M even though it won't take very long.

I think someone in this thread has done it and I'm pretty sure the result was you can spray the black over the taillight and light will still shine through

I did mine in 10 minutes no joke. The longest part was taping up the area with newspaper.

Be sure to spray one 'mist' of a coat on and let it set for about a minute. Both of mine worked in the first attempt and I love the darker look.

You can use several coats or whatever pleases you but it eventually gets textured looking so I just play it by eye. I did mine with about 3 light coats. Also I did mine in full sun so it dried literally in minutes.

Yeah I read that also, but the images don't really specify much. Tonight when I do my hood stripes I'll attempt them anyway and let everyone know.

I had two problems doing mine.

1) the inside of the A and the R letters are seriously so small you will need toothpicks... which I didn't have.

2) On the inside and on the top, the plastidip on the paint sometimes stuck to the plastidip on the letters. I took a razor and cut it very carefully but I guess my razor is somewhat dull because it pulled rather than cut cleanly.

While black tends to make things less noticeable, I think that if anything is wrong with the application of the white plastidip it is glaring you in the face lol and so that was the reason I took off my first two dips of the letters.

Anyone have any suggestions to fix this? I know I have to redo my wheel, but what can I do in the future to make it last longer than 1 day?
UPDATE:

Took off old PD today and redid the wheel and made sure that I really got inside the grooves with the spray... here's the result, with no silver shining through
