We could mention that doing those mods to the ZL1 is impressive considering it's weight disadvantage compared to the GT500.
Is this an Al O commercial? But, but, but....

Seriously, relax have a beer and enjoy your car! The ZL1 is an awesome performance car for the money! Its fast and handles great...have fun with it. Those lucky enough to own one!

There was one tuned yesterday. Picked up 50 RWHP and 50 lb/ft torque. Gains were pretty solid across the board.

yeah saw it no pullies though. still easy to accomplish wtih a ZL1. waiting to see what this bottom end is capable of. they say LSA will hold to ~800hp. I am sure the shelby has to be higher but this is a new engine.

The question remains..to what end adding HP that the car is still streetable and drivable to the average driver

If you take a ZL1 and intake, pulley, and tune they throw down similar power and hence run similar times.

if you buy the parts yourself and have the car tuned you are looking at ~1200-1500.

so for expample a ZL1 with these mods and GT500 with PP price out almost identical. the ford wins the milage wars for sure though.
True, but a tune alone will net the gt500 ~50rwhp. I dont see any equality as far as the drag strip (with the exception of the one running 9s) . I do believe the track will be interesting if we can get some times lol.

It amazing to me to see 800rwhp out of this motor (for daily purposes). Im curious to see how far it can be pushed on a stock motor.

I would say anything above 750 rwhp would be a hard car to handle for the average driver.

750rwhp is A LOT for anyone on the street. I know what 625rwhp is and you better be sure your going straight when you hit it.

I remember seeing a brand new SRT Challenger at the body shop with front end damage. Didn't even have dealer plates yet. The shop guy told the shipworker that took it of the container stomped it and couldn't control it, and hit a brick wall. The SRT's only have 425hp. Wouldn't want this shipworker unloading my ZL1 or GT500.

If it was 11.4 why post up a 11.68?

I have seen two slips with the 10/11 gt500 running faster with just tires. 11.3 and 11.1 respectively.
Posted the 11.68 cause thats the only one I saw...
