Headed to Athens for a car show at the Varsity (and to eat
 ). A guy in a 2nd gen corvette (early '60s) turned onto the road I was turning off. I rolled down my window and gave him a thumbs up, he waved and gave me a full throttle takeoff for my wave. What a sweet sound! Sent chill bumps up my arms!Not a car in the world sounds that good!

Just got home after spending all day at the super chevy show/LSx shootout. Watched Neal make a few passes as well as several other 5th gens. Meet the guy who makes those heat extractions. Heard Paul (Padre) tore up his trans! All in all great show and had a blast. Weather was absolutely perfect!!

Broke on the first pass of the day...that's ok though....we had a new one built today and the car is back in action tonight. We'll be in the 9.0 index of 5th gen tomorrow so hoping to get at least 1 or 2 good runs out of it before we're done.
Racing is fun...  I just wish the frickin shaft could have broken at either of the 2 track rentals we had recently. Life goes on...could have been much worse I guess.
