Ha...should have known....I refer to it as "the dong" for obvious reasons. It's kind of ugly.....BUT it did solve one issue....it bleeds about 5 lbs of boost...add a filter and I have my pump gas tune without having to change pulleys.

Surprised you guys are messing with meth + C16 or Q16. Is the meth just for street driving. My buddy's car is going 7.40@195 on just Q16 @ 3300.

Most of the guys here are still running a2a intercoolers John. Huffer is going to use the meth for lowering Iat's as best he can since it's so hot here in the summer.

For Huffs setup A/W is the only way to go. Works great on the street as well. Then your IATS should not go above 70-75 deg when racing.
Also if the A/A is to restrictive your IATS will go sky high as well.

I don't know a lot about drag racing, but I know a bit about Onstar. There is a sensor onboard that could be set off if you pull enough G's on the launch. Could be part of Onstar but I think its part of the airbag system. If I am right about that, you could fool the airbags to deploy with a hard enough launch. Kinda like you are simulating getting rear-ended by a another car. Some cars are only programmed to do airbags on a head-on collision, I'm not sure about the Camaro. Anyway this thing could send a signal through the car's CAN bus that the Onstar module senses and automatically notifies the call center.

There is a you tube video somewhere showing it happen to another car.

You live in Chicago....if it gets to 90 there everyone panics....90 is a nice cool summer day here.

We don't NEED the meth with Q....at least I don't think so.... but I already had a meth kit anyways and figured that we have to be giving away a little bit of horsepower with 255 IATs (granted only at top of 3rd gear) so why not. Plus if the car ever sees pump gas again, as it is a street car, then the meth will be a nice cushion.

We really wanted to run A2W but I have been pretty diligent about maintaining this as a street car and giving up the passenger seat or the trunk for an intercooler or a fuel cell was not happening.

I would consider a front mount A2W but nothing from Procharger would fit behind the bumper and we didn't really look much further and simply decided to use the 1500hp A2A cooler.

I know the IATs are being talked about quite a bit, and probably my fault, but that was a spike right at the finish and the car was being hot lapped at the time....so I don't think it's that big of an issue but I figured the Meth wouldn't hurt.

I've seen that video and was thinking maybe something similar but it was happening around the 1000' mark so definitely not the hard launch. The car leaves like a bicycle with the tight converter so the launch isn't the issue.....unfortunately.

Nice try. I'll still find a way to. Hahahaha

What else can I say in this thread. Huffster opened up a can on everyone. Until you come along he's in charge. Without my D1 I'll never compete.:(
