I'll go ahead and assume that they didnt since they DIDNT say that they did. Kinda makes sense now doesnt it?

If you really think a 4300lb supercharged car is a ideal auto x car then you know NOTHING about cars or racing. You say mumble something about heat soak as if your trying to downplay it as if it isnt an issue. Trust me its REAL! And it will def kill performance. Again if you dont know this then you really dont belong in this thread.
What 4,300lb car are you talking about?

If its the ZL1 then we are looking at mass depression in here and if it's the Shelby with the slower time the ford guys are gonna have to finally cut the Z some respect as an auto X car. Soon this will be put to rest.
Mass depression What?

I will say the Recaros alone are probably good for 50lbs worth of savings.

Mass depression as this inside-line comparo is the one thing the ZL1 loyal have been able to throw there hat on. (Heck its the only thing to survive having the GT500 on the ZL1 section and not banashed to the "Mega-Thread.) Something to brag about over the Shelby. Look at the last 28 pages of chest thumping on how well the car handles over the Shelby to prove it. Now if the numbers from a REAL track come in and the Ford is faster the hat rack will not mean much. I honeslty don't know which car is faster around a decent track but I cant wait to read it, but if the Z is slower alot of wind is going out of peoples sales. If the ZL1 is faster MR is just short of the second coming, and bravo to GM.

There were 69 ZL1s built in 1969. It's rare, not legendary.

I didn't use the numbers just its what I imagine he was saying. After all the car doesn't go without a driver. So the suspension and tires have to cope with that weight. So lets hope all Shelby owners are fat.

I guess the Ford can drive itself since you listed its actual curb weight?!

Haha I didn't put 4300 number out there lol, im just guessing what the man was thinking.

Seriously tho, think about a ZL1 (4300) or a Shelby (4100) and then a Z06 with driver at 3380, insane they got the vette so light.

You can trust Inside Line. Its still two to one.

I mean think about it. What has been the main response from the ford camp since the inside line review? "We need same driver, same track, same conditions review on a real track by a professional driver." Which is how the original boss vs. zl1 comparison was done.

But that's not what we have here is it? Yet, the ford guys etch it into a plaque and whip it out as if it is the ultimate comparison.

Edit: I'm not saying the post is dishonest, but I do have a question that nags me. If the boss LS guy was his first time at a track, then what was he doing in racing slicks? This means he brought an extra set of rims I guess or he trailered his car. It's just a little odd to me. I mean, he obviously came prepared like he knew what he was doing. Or maybe the boss LS guy was not his first time to track. It's not clear who he's talking about.
He was NOT on slicks. He WAS on NT01s. FAR cry from a slick. Trust me, they're on my DD.
