Please stop bickering people. It's not how Camaro folks should act. You always chance it at an auction plain and simple. If you didn't want to roll the dice, then you wouldn't have put it out there. You get what you get and either be happy with it or regret it forever. Cars are bad investments. Modded cars can be even worse sometimes. I think the timing wasn't good or it would have likely brought more.

However, I agree, someone got a helluva deal for 43K. I wouldn't have bought it because I don't care for the look, but glad someone will enjoy it. At least there's one person out there happy you sold the car at BJ.

I'm guessing you've gotta be a "player", i.e. in on the scam that is BJ, to get a reserve auction.

I'm honestly sad this car went for so little. It's an awesome looking car. Hopefully the next owner will take good care of it.

My 2cts. I had a 2010 370Z Roadster. I put $5000 in mods and wanted to trade it in on a ZL1. My initial dealer offered me low tradein value for my car. Nothing for the mods. I bought my ZL1 off anothers dealer lot and he offered me $4000 more which still only put me middle of Kelly's Black Book. You don't mod a car and expect to get out of it what you payed. Period. As for BJ I like watching but would never buy or sell on it. Don't like the buyers and sellers fees. They make what 16% on every non-charity car? Plus I cannot stand when the people on stage- yes BJ employees, always interjecting that a car is worth more than it is selling for or that the buyers should spend more money. I watch for the cars not for the BJ company.

A no-reserve auction noted for it's older classic and super-exotic cars is not a very good place to sell a relatively new super-modified ordinary (no offense) car. I realize it is an extraordinary 2010 Camaro SS but to B-J clientel.... it's just a 2010 Camaro SS.

Sick deal, I agree this was always one of the nicest C5's around really tasteful, and this is coming from a guy not fond of blue.

I think a lot of BJ buyers are people that let their cars just sit in their massive garages/warehouses. This car probably won't be drove how it should be.

Nice take for the charity. Why is that funny?

If you have a child with cancer, that helps too.

To be perfectly honest I didn't know how to take this reference, but your note further down in this thread helped clarify it. One of my children is a cancer survivor and since his diagnosis I have raised $100,000 towards finding cures for pediatric cancer. He is now 14 and has joined me, raising $3000 so far on his own. Every single dollar goes towards research and survivorship care at Dana Farber Cancer Institute through The Jimmy Fund. If these people are "trotting out" out bald kids to support Bogus charities in the name of pediatric cancer research, then shame on them, to say the very least.

It's definitely not funny.
