Really nice driving. It's really amazing what these cars can do with "a little work."

That's gracious to say the least... Thank You...

I'm fortunate that my builder told me ahead of time that no one climbs in a car like this and is an instant hero...

As I said in the write-up, any faults for the launches were mine and mine alone... I've never tried to launch a car of this type, with this much power, much less on sticky tires...

It was educational, and more importantly, it was fun... after the butterflies went away...

I get to do it all over again in about three weeks with substantially more HP... The AMS 1000 Boost controller and Nitrous install are nearing completion, and then we will be turning it up... Tuning on the dyno and then more track runs to dial it in... Just as soon as I get home from overseas...

I'll say this... on the fourth pass, I spun hard off the line and all the way through first... but she felt great, not a twitch of feeling out of control... Just little steering inputs and she comes back around.... With a little time, I'll learn how to pedal her out of those spinning sessions and go faster...

Nice car with serious power. Mine was the black Camaro that started this thread. Here is the final pics with an SLP hood, that unfortunately, has since been taken off. It will not fit on a car with the Paxton Supercharger I did. When the engine torques, it raises up and the sc touches the hood. Within one month of installing the hood, it started to wear a hole right through it cracking the paint on the top.

SLP claims it is a perfect replacement for a stock hood, but that is not the case. ECS installed my s/c over a year ago and I have had no issues with the stock hood. One month with the new hood and I have a hole in it. And SLP told me to get lost - not their problem. Won't even respond to emails. The last thing I ever buy from them, thats for sure.

In any case, I feel your pain at the track. Had mine there this weekend and the best time I could get was 12.08, and ECS got my car up to roughly 800 RWHP. As you can guess, much of it was driver errror...

Sorry to hear about the hood Joe!

If you are free on the 7th come to the GM EFI race at Raceway park and lets work on getting that beast into some lower numbers!

Stunning Car,

I Love The Black, but don't have the patience it it takes to keep them looking that good...

Very Nice....

Thanks Matt,

Wait until the car is on the new custom painted trailer behind a truck of the same color... I'll be ready to go racing...

I've referred several people to you for wheels and whatnot... Hope you get some more customers...

Thanks Again...

As for the hood, deal,

I wanted to ask... He mentioned the motor torqueing over and the blower contacting the hood... would solid or near solid motor mounts prevent this, or at least help it... He didn't specify if he has them.,.. Just curious...

I'm using the Prothane Motor mounts, and on the dyno, the car torques over, but the motor doesn't move relative the engine bay...

I believe that would eliminate the problem that Joe had. It did not hit during idle conditions- normal driving etc, just during heavy torque conditions.
