Sometimes our brains say "F@#% this I don't wanna tell my feet to work together" until you get it down to muscle memory lol. Just keep it up and don't get nervous or frustrated, worst thing you could ever do when driving a manual.

That shudder is normal for many cars because of several things - engine bog, drivetrain gear lash, etc. I've found this to be the case after many cars over 30+ years.

Just need to give it a good 1200-1500rpm to avoid it. Breaking in the clutch plate properly (easy-does-it, of course) will result in less "bite" and a smoother engagement (you're way past that point, of course!). The shudder will likely always be there if it was there in the first place.

At the next stop light, I engaged the clutch and revved the engine to help cool down the flywheel, but the smell lingered all day.
Here is my question though, call me paranoid, but the car seems to shudder very slightly when I start off in 1st gear barely above 1,000RPM. Starts very smoothly if I am at 1,500RPM. Is it just me being paranoid and the car always did this? Or did I burn my clutch? The shudder feeling I remember from before, just not sure if it used to happen if I engage around 700RPM, because the car idles around 500RPM. Sorry long story.
How much gas do you usually give it in heavy slow traffic in first gear? Up to how many RPMs? Thanks.
Yeh...probably burned and scorched it. But the scorch will wear off as you drive it.

The shudder comes from a slight burned spot on the flywheel caused by your excess slippage previously. It will eventually wear away as the friction of continued use will smoothe it out--a little like sandpaper. Unless you burned the flywheel so bad it cracked the shudder is only temporary. I've done it a few times myself, and it eventually smoothes out.

Depends on how fast you want to take off. I give it just enough to smoothly take off without stalling. I rev enough to hear it. I dont even look at the tach , I listen to the sound.

Thanks guys. The shudder completely went away. Everything is back to normal. So I must have had a scorched spot and it finally wore down evenly again.
Someone questioned why I pushed in the clutch and reved the engine. In my limited knowledge of vehicles, I thought seperating the fly-wheel from the clutch and letting it spin will cool it down by letting it spin some air around and avoiding a warped fly wheel. I could be wrong. Maybe there just isn't enough space inside the housing to let air circulate. Anywho, I would hate to see what would cause a warped flywheel on these vehicles. That would have to be some very intentional abuse.

LOL, yeah, this is the real embarassing part. I have been driving stick for 14 years. Never had a car with this much power though.
Still trying to figure out what happened. It was a should I go, should I not, and then giving it a little more gas than I should, releasing the clutch, but not wanting to do a 180 in the intersection, then easing off the clutch but not the gas, ... you get the idea.
