Best looking setup of all....most OE-ish.

Well...for many reasons....1st you referenced other PDs...which to me includes a whipple which is a screw blower...so completely different.

2nd the rotors produce the heat but one of the primary factors that determines IAT is the inter cooler setup, which may or may not be completely different on an Edelbrock up to and including different cores, pumps, flow rates, air volumes etc. Just because you feel like the rotors are the same, doesn't mean the blowers will perform the same...the list of variables is endless....gearing, impeller speed, efficiency..etc..etc...etc.

Lastly where is it that you think these other blowers measure their intake temps because I think you will be surprised to find that they all, if I remember right, measure their IAT post IC and have for some time.

Their tune is known to suck big time and there is allegedly some kind of fueling issue that Jannetty offers a fix for. Maybe not a big deal...but whipple is superior in many different ways....in my opinion.

I was thinking more of Maggie and I don't see how heat soak could be much different. As far as tunes, the only reason to use the canned tune would be if you buy the warranty. If you don't, it would be silly to use a canned tune from any company. Why spend all that money and not get a proper tune for your specific setup.

The bottom line is the op wanted opinions on the eforce, and as an owner (and hard user) of one I would say if he likes the unit, there is no good reason not to get one. 10000 trouble free miles so far and great performance all around.

your looking at around 6000 for supercharger and if you want extra power over bolt on you will need fuel pump upgrade ,bigger injectors, headers, cold air kit, cam, pulleys, etc.dont mean to scare you but its an expensive hobby this power fix

The only good reason being that there are better units available, in my opinion. If you are spending the same money, why not get the best available.

My edelbrock is being installed today and tomorrow I went with a jannetty tune just to be safe and because of extra mods. I will let you know what I think. They claim because of longer intake runners it has better low end power and for a big heavy car like ours, for the street that can't be a bad thing. That's why I chose it.

The eForce was well worth the money. We installed it over a couple of days, taking our time to do it right, it is a relatively easy install. Drilling the crank snout and retorquing the crank bolt are probably the most challenging parts.

The Edlebrock tune is awful, and do the JRE fuel rail fix before you put the blower on, otherwise, ENJOY! Don't forget the FX catch can too.

yeah i know that, so does the magnuson and the whipple.... i feel the IAT's are higher in my opinion are due to the fact the eforce uses small long runners which are a restriction... i bet if you put a boost gauge before the runners in the blower and then one in the port at the head, you'll see a decent pressure difference, all most like having a way inefficient intercooler with a big turbo... you can really see this when you look at the boost curve of the eforce in comparison to a magnuson, both have the same rotor set but the curves are way different.. maguson stay relatively flat slightly raising has the motor VE starts to drop at high rpm, then you look at the eforce it raise drastically in the high rpm ranges, which i think is due to higher rotor speed (overall cfm) trying to flow into long restrictive runners... this is all my theory, and take it for what its worth...

Oh So True and with no end.

Won't argue. If I started today and wanted to go big......Procharger, if I wanted the same power as I have now, Whipple. No regrets with the E-Force, has worked great for two years and I didn't have to wait the extra year for the Whipple to come out.

You won't regret any of the units being mentioned on here. Just learn what add-ons work best with each.

Yes the E-Force has awesome low end torque, but if you want to drag race, that won't help you hooking up. Street driving with gear drop takeoffs....

Typically takes us 2 to 2.5 days not including dyno baseline and results.

Heres a video of me and my dad installing the e-force on my camaro. Took us about 9 hours to do and we took our time and video taped alot. We are both Certified master technicians and it was our first SC install. Enjoy.

Haha, my assistant for the install was my wife, and we are still married after the ordeal!
