But you are right, the Corvettes come with a separate reservoir stock and you can just change out the fluid from the top on a regular basis since bleeding the system is a pita without a remote bleeder.
This http://www.rangeracceleration.com/Clutch_Care.html is the article that kind of sold me on the idea. I'm still skeptical, but it looks legit.

yep, i have read the ranger stuff, i was on corvette forum for a while, but i just can't believe that the particles are clutch dust.

would you believe the issue went away, even when i had 850 hp just by getting rid of the stock clutch? i never had the issue again when i installed a centerforce and then later a ram twin disk. I also didn't change my clutch fluid but maybe once.

i also had an 01 z28 that would stick the pedal to the floor so much i traded it in with 16K miles on it, lol. of course, i drove the balls off that car.

even ranger admits there is no clear agreement as to the cause, but i won't argue keeping fresh fluid in the car is a very good idea, but i will also always believe that the factory pressure plate is too weak. i'm not even about to write any articles about my ideas, lol. not only am I not retired, i have three professions. of course, they all involve cars and two involve horsepower, so i don't mind a bit. :-)

Good arguments for both. I guess I'll have to do the unthinkable and make up my own mind .
