Question on the new radio. I was hoping to know if I can plug a USB powered external mini'harddrive into the center console port and if the new head unit will recognize it through MY LINK. It is NOT a USB thumb drive, those are supposed to work, I'm wondering more about the mini'spinning USB hard drive. I have TONS of music and bought a Western Digital Passport 500gig hoping it may work because it's USB powered and not externally powered. Has anyone tried on in a 2013MY? Thanks

I'm pretty sure the 2007 ZO6 radio is nothing to be flaunting around .

Yes it does have a USB port within the consul storage area. I'm not sure if a mini spinning USB hard drive would work but I assume it would given the port. I've been using the Bluetooth Audio feature from my iPhone. It woks fantastic given the Gracenote software that comes with the car. It shows the album artwork name and title of the track. The XM feature also flashes the name of the song on the HUD, although this may have already been a feature on the MY12.

way off topic but I like my corvette setup better than the 2010-2012 camaro deck. when I test drove an 2011 SS I new imediatly that POS would have to go if I got a camaro. at least in the vette if you want update the unit it is more standard approach. I put an AVIC unit in a 2006 Z06 and it was easy as pie. no $300 dash kits to buy.

that being said there are better than the 2013 or the unit in my vette on the market in other vehicles. The unit in my dart when it shows up will most likely be nicer than the camaro but we will see.

The rear camera is also integrated, so in reverse you have a nice picture of what you’re about to back into. Notice the cup holders… The button on the side operates the ambient lighting. The lighting is a dealer install and goes from blue to red depending on button cycles. Notice the rear view mirror. The OnStar button is integrated into the mirror. I think the MY12 had the button just below the mirror. Overall the interior is awesome! Just a small quibble with the steering wheel. The right side extends further toward the driver. The research I’ve done so far indicates that this is by design, but not sure why? I’m interested to hear about any others who receive their MY13 with a crooked steering wheel. Overall, this car is AMAZING!
Congratulations on your new car and best of luck with her. Excellent choice of color and wheels by the way.

Too bad everyone with a question about the ZL1 they have on order can't come to a camaro forum and ask a question from one of the few guys that actually has one and could give answers from experience. I mean that's definitely not what internet forums are for! The car is amazing btw! Steering wheel issue is odd, wonder how it feels while driving??

Nice ride. Just an FYI< but i have the ambient lighting package in 2012 too. So, that's not a change. Agreed, the touch screen looks great! Congrats!

Ha Ha! Thanks OldJedi! You were the one who inspired me to get this color. I was going with AGM, but changed my order after seeing your photos back in April. Thanks for the inspiration and I hope you're enjoying your ZL1 as much as that awesome 67 Vette.

That screen looks way to large to me! I think it looks stupid. Give me the old radio.

ZL1 parked at work, not even a day off to polish it! The wife has lots of other pics from yesterday, the day we picked it up, but neither of us could get a day off, so time is limited. Snuck this picture at work today before the boss gets in, lol...

OMG is this a sweet ride! Everyone waiting on one, its worth the wait!

I don't think it looks great... never have from day one. I think they new radio looks like an after thought though... because it is. If proper planning was done from day one we would have a nice center IP that flowed like it belonged. Just my two cents.
