I've been using it since the 2nd tank. It was originally filled to the brim with 97 octane though. I'm at 5k miles

You should be golden then! If at some point you feel the need, it wouldn't hurt to do the fuse pulls. Good luck!!

so that i may clarify my issues here and to be on the same topic plz correct me people for i have a 2012 SS LS3 with less than 5000 miles on it... when i drive the car with a cold engine it seems to have lagg,,smalle missfires,, and hesitations but clears up some when the engine is at normal operating temps, but a tiny bit remains.

ive took it to my dealer twice for this issue and they said since i cant duplicate the problem or because it doesnt throw a code then it means theres no problem...

this is my 8th car i have bought in my life i have dealt with a clunker before and i was a truck driver for 7 years i know what a miss feels like... since this is my first brand new car im feeling really upset with chevy along with all my other problems they wont cover under warranty im starting to wish i bought a mustang

I bought a new Mustang GT 2 years ago & since day 1 every time you put gas in it then drive away some gas pours out the side. They don't have gas caps. FORD said its a know issue but there is no fix. One day the side marker lense below the gas door fell off due to the repeated gas soakings.

The last time I took the Mustang in for the left front caliper sticking which would pull you into the left lane. They had it for 5 days & did nothing, we ended up trading the Mustang in for a new Escape. 4 Months later we traded the Escape in for our Camaro.

The difference in the length of time is due to capacitors, they hold energy or power for a period of time after the power source has been removed. now as far as if there are/is a capacitor(s) in the system we are concerned about, I do not know. Hope this helps.

I don't mean to be a Whinny little titt but this is the car I've dreamed about since the 1993 F-body. Now I'm 32 and finally got my first brand new car. A Camaro SS (the 1ss should have been named Z28). And it seems I've been let down over and over. I guess I shouldnt expect perfection since it was made by humans and we aren't perfect. But I do expect Chevy to stand by warrantys. It won't hurt me to try the fuse pull agin for over night it's not like Chevy is going to grow some balls and address the issue anytime soon. It's as if Microsoft is running Chevy now. They need to learn from Apple and respect the warranty.

I'm assuming that the battery backup charge is before the fuses in the line. All I know is that a battery disconect didn't reset the right thing.

First, your 07' Vette didn't have an L99 in it, but a true LS3. The L99 is new with a different cam and AFM and such. (help me guys if I screwed that up)

But as far as what told your car to run on the low fuel table I wondered this about mine but I was able to assertain that my dealer put 3 gallons of 89 in my car off the truck. If you took yours off the truck and it never left your sight then your guess is as good as anyones.
Here's a thought...maybe the low octane table was selected when it was fueled at the factory before loading on the truck. If the system is intended to "relearn" when premium fuel is used, the factory could be making the assumption that putting the 87 in at the plat just to get it to the dealer is simply going to be reset when the dealer or consumer puts the first tank of fuel in it. (that's a guess BTw)

I can't help but wonder if that stupid 1-4 shift might be causing some of this grief.
I wonder if the engine might knock a little lugging it in 4th, resetting to low octaine map.
It can't be good for the bottom end.

I never go straight to 4th so that's not the problem. Get the skip shift or tune and don't worry about it

I usually try to pop it to 4th, then back to 3rd without engaging 4th. It's not always possible. I have to get that harness. Not sure where I can get it tuned out around here.

I won't tune mine until the warranty is done but the skip shift I couldn't go without. I couldn't put mine in third if I wanted to. Apex has them cheap and haven't had a problem with mine in over a year
