Damn Paul, that looks real nice. Need to rethink my own IM paint scheme.

Looks great.

Yeah great sound. I just popped out to pick up dinner and floored it in second gear, wow a lot more torque down low and it sounded like I could hear the air rushing in - now back to baby'ing it so the ECM can learn ! Lol

Not yet, I'll wait until the ECM has relearned then take one

Ported IM looks great. So was it well worth it? I've been thinking about getting one.

A definite inprovement in the lower range - gets up to speed much faster now. I haven't really had a good chance to test it but from what I have experienced so far is positive - I'd say for the cost this one is definitely worth doing.

Can't wait to go back to the track when it gets cooler to see what it has done for my 1/4 mile time.

I've kind of given up the ghost with dynos, ever since I dynoed less with a vararam intake and tune than I had previously done with just an Injen CAI. I knew the car was faster and more responsive but the dyno kind of said different. Saying that; if a local shop has a special on dynos sometime then I may change my mind.

Crap! decided to retorque my IM bolts last night, not a good idea as I was tired and a bit distracted. Any way I over torqued one of the large bolts (60mm one) - I heard a pop and realized I'd just snapped the bolt. I managed to lift out the 58mm remaining length or so but without removing the whole IM I'm guessing the end of the bolt is sitting firm in the block.

I needed the car for work today so decided to test drive it last night and everything seems fine, for example no spluttering due to any leaks so hopefully I will be ok until I get a replacement bolt. My worry though is what to do if the bolt end is still in the thread, would it be safe to drill out? Where would the debris end up? Any help would be appreciated.

Also any idea what to order as a replacement bolt and where to get it (as I said its the 60mm one)?

Well began pulling her back apart tonight and was surprised to find the snapped piece of bolt sticking out the socket by about 1/4 inch I was able to remove the bolt with only my fingers, needed the pliers a couple of times just to free it a little but it came out with no issues. I just need my new bolts and I can put it all back together

EDIT: well it didn't turn out aswell as I'd hoped. Almost unbelievably I did the exact same thing when I installed it the second time around - this time though the bolt was lodged too deep and I couldn't remove it. All said and done and after a tow to ARD who got me sorted and back on the road I now know how to correctly use a torquing wrench

Car is now running like a dream - many thanks to ARD !!
