Neither the owner or the builder from what I've read are trying to hold fast to the point that this car ran the time it did on just 3 #'s of boost or that it peaked at only 3 #'s of boost. I think they're saying if they could have run at higher boost they feel like they could have done better. That doesn't seem like too much of a stretch to me.

Baylor can run 10 #'s of boost because he has a 10# pulley. Same Vortec V3 head unit, different pulley. Does that make sense?

I agree with you in principal... Posting "3 PSI" in the title is simply wrong... period...

Went back and looked up my old Mustang with a Vortech... I picked up about 12 MPH on 12 PSI...

That being said... Superfreak has a very valid point! The title of this thread is absolutely misleading! Tracy has even admitted he has a 5 to 6 PSI pully. I don't care what the boost gauge showed, the car did not pickup up 100+ HP with a 3 PSI centrifugal setup...

Not doubting what V6owner saw on his boost gauge... he saw what he saw... but that doesn't mean that's actually what was going on! You know, my Flex doesn't even have a boost gauge! So, those that are arguing "well, he only say 3 PSI"... well, that' like me posting my Flex went 13.2 on Friday with NO BOOST!

So sorry, i'm with Superfreak on this one... he is standing on the principal that the title is terribly misleading and there is no way the run was only on 3 PSI. And I agree with him.... PERIOD!

Thank you scrming. That was my point all along. I gave props to v6owner many times for a great run that is somethibg to be proud of. I stated early on that the title states he made this run at only 3 psi which I found unbelievable. Additionally I am called a troll by Tracy at RX who couldn't see the obvious misreprensentation made in the title of his own kit and won't give a further explanation as to how this is possible. Just because I am new to the forum and new to owning a v6 camaro doesn't mean I am a troll or I don't have a clue about how superchargers work.

Tracy, I am not hating nor a troll. I have given props to v6owner many times. He made some great passes and I congratulated him for his great achievement. My only beef is what is being represented in the title "that he did this on 3 psi of boost" with all of your knowledge and the one who built the kit you should recognize this mistake and see that your system is represented properly. That's all. I never called BS on ANYTHING except for the claim that the run was done with only 3psi of boost.

Really fantastic runs v6owner! Man, I hope I get some good pick up killer that when I finally get to the track this week. I may have missed it in all the noise of the earlier posts. Had you ever run at a track in your car before you went FI? Just curious to see how much time you picked up, net. I can't make your kind of times sure to my altitude, so I am trying to guess how close I am going to get.

Again, very nice job. I look forward to seeing how you solve the traction issue. I am concerned about that one myself. Thank you for keeping us updated. (despite all the other noise)

Yes I have. My best time with bolt-ons was a 14.28. As for traction 3 out of 4 times we spun out of the hole. But on my last run of the night I did a long burn or. Pretty much 2 burnouts and I hooked with a 1.96 60'.

I can't wait to see what you run Keep is posted!
