Sounds good, thinking about ordering new wheels, cant decide... see picture below. I like the gun metal a little more... though may be the lighting as a friend has pointed out. Wonder if lowering will hinder my daily driving.

Those are the ones everybody gets. Those are Nurburgring and Donnington, correct? I was looking at both of those too, but then I decided I wanted to do something different.

I got Foose Speeds in black/machined face, and colormatched them myself, with a nice thick coat of clear over the machined/green, leaving the black matte. Turned out great, and I always get comments on how good it looks with the rest of the car. Pictures don't do it justice. :(

I'm going to have to talk to my wife about using my account....

Anyway...

As I mentioned yesterday, I've fixed the start time at 12:00 noon. I will be editing the info on page one to reflect this. (I'll also add the address. I'm glad Tom posted that. In this age of google, I got a little lazy there.)
I just got back from the PNWCC meeting where I extended the invitation to anyone who wanted to come. And I got an awesome picture of Mag & Me with the Camaro, from Mike, our photographer member who did the pics at the XXX show. (Thanks Mike!) I told him about the number of SGMs that will (and may) be there, and he got excited about the photo op. So we may have a pro photographer there to document this! That means you need to come now, Forged! And I hope you don't have to work Applegarth!
Legit photo op would be cool. I'm actually leaning in that direction but I kinda don't wanna go alone, and my friends who might wanna go work on the weekend and the rest aren't really into Camaros. :P

I almost always go to Camaro events alone... I think my hubby hates Ladybug. (well, not completely... but he will be working on the 4th, so I'll be alone anyway...) Maybe if you come alone, you'll have the chance to get to know more of us, and not feel like Camaros are the only common interest!

I went alone to my last two Camaro events... I drug my sis along to the Renton show because I knew she was into classic cars a little, but I ended up alone for most of it. :P

Besides a great photo op, what better reason then to take a drive!

Mini Hulk,
I think your friend is right. You'd really have to see them in similar light. I like the green accent stripe on the second ones, but for me personally, I'm not a big fan of black, because the rims really seem to disappear into the tires. So I'd lean towards a lighter shade for a little contrast. (But still get the green accent stripe!)

Forged,
I actually like those rims! It seems Every time I see an aftermarket I like, it turns out to be Foose. That must be telling me something.

Thanks. I like em too.

Looks like I'm most likely going. I need to hurry up and get some performance mods done so I can actually compete with you guys at these things.

You're on the list! And everyone will tell you that it's not a competition. When we get together we just enjoy looking at, and talking about each others cars. You get ideas about mods that you want to do to your car, and you can learn from others experiences (good & bad) and make up your mind how you want to go about it yourself. To be perfectly honest, for most of us, the mods are mostly cosmetic, and performance mods are generally minor. (Aftermarket exhaust, cold air induction, catch cans, etc.) A few, like camarossowner, go the extra distance with supercharging and other goodies. But it's not about one-uping anybody. It's about your car, and how you express yourself with what you want to do with it, and what you have the means to achieve. There's been plenty written on C5 on that subject.
Competition is for car shows and the track, and even then, it's usually friendly and low-key (as it should be).
Speaking of car shows: Congratulations Tom on your win at Good Guys! That's a big one!

Glad your coming. We promise not to bring our canes, leave our teeth in and not to smell like bengay!

If people start bringing canes, taking out their teeth and smelling like bengay then I am going to stop coming! I get enough of that at work!
