I've never understood the "tired of using the clutch" thing. on trucks, yes. they're much stiffer and require a lot more effort to operate. in a car they're no more difficult to use than the brake or gas.

I had an 04 GTO one car prior to the Camaro that was an automatic. Really liked the car, but was bored of the auto. I probably would have kept it if it was a manual trans.

In heavy traffic I get tired of driving period. Having to also use the clutch in bumper to bumper traffic is no more painful/tedious than having to use the brake/gas on an auto. Now if the auto managed to pilot itself in heavy traffic and I didn't have to touch the brake/gas and tire my right foot, then I could see a benefit. Otherwise, the gas/brake in heavy traffic is tiring on the auto as well. Adding my left foot to the mix just balances my leg usage.

Question for all you macho men that rather change your gears manually rather than pushing a button.

Did you toss your remote control and change the channels manually? Do you really feel more in control with your TV now? Do you like rowing your channels...lmao

Like I said..manuals are so 1960's

That makes absolutely no sense. Whether yo press a button on the TV or on a remote you are still rowing your own buttons. It works the same way other than the location of the button.

Oh ! I forgot one thing ! These Paddle Shifters option is only for Automatic Camaros , not for Manuals !
You know being polically incorrect for a moment, I just cant get past thinking paddle shifters are training wheels for a real manual transmission. I drove a manual my entire life, and now my son is doing the same now. If my only option were a paddle shfiter, i would stick with auto. it just feels wrong. I cant descibe it any better. In real life i am not politically incensitive and if a friend showed me his new camaro with paddle shifters, i would smile and say "Sweet" but that would not be what i was thinking.

You are young, before there were buttons on the TV's there was a dial that you had to turn to the channel you wanted.

Buttons came on TVs much latter.

(dang kids next thing you know thell be asking "what's a VHS tape")

an no, an automatic can never be manual. it can simulate one, but it can never be one.
actually the 12 2ls gets better mpg than the 1ls....but i love manuals...wish mine was a manual honestly....but i do think someday they could stop making manuals but that even in my mind is a very far fetched idea...i hope they keep producing both

I went with the Auto because I wanted to keep remote start and wanted my wife to be able to drive the car too. We all buy these cars for the same reason, cause we love the car. Doesnt matter whether you bought a v6, v8, M6 or A6. We are all car lovers and obviously the camaro specifically. So dont judge others on what they purchased. We are here for support not to put each other down or brag about who is better then who. As long as you are happy with what you chose to buy, it doesnt matter what others think.

If changing channels manually saved electricity, made the tv sound a hundred times better and gave me lot more control, then yeah probably. and the whole so 1960s thing is just ridiculous, just as bad as me saying auto transmission is just a car with training wheels.

Technology only equals improvement if you have something to improve on. Automatic can only be an improvement if you are bothered by shifting. The scary part is someday this same conversation will be taking place related to self driving cars and my computer has been upgraded with supercharged sensors and it knocked off 3/10 on my autocross run.
